Thank you - that's very helpful.

The bike is booked in to have the work carried out on 27 July and then it's a case of who is paying.

Someone is lending me a GSF650 for the trip I'm doing. They will now be leading it and I will be pissing around in the pack trying to overtake the bigger bikes - which I may do and will award myself triple points for :king:

How old is the bike?
2 in February. I took it to them before then and mentioned the issues. I've had 2 clutches under warranty too.

You've had 2 clutches too? Is this as your username suggests, a triumph 765?

Yes. It's the 2019 ST 765 RS. I had no issues with clutch no 1. and was informed when I picked it up (probably from the 12k service) that they had put a new one in. I asked why and they said "oh, its ok, it's not your riding, its just a new clutch - free  ". I still don't know why they did it and I haven't seen anything about it being a recall. I had issues with that clutch - it slipped on the way home (it was February 6c and raining, so not like I was stressing it). They said that was normal - I've since found out that it is not normal. This Feb I took it to a different Triumph dealer for the 24k service and mentioned the clutch and that the bike sounds a bit rattley/noisy at times. The third clutch was put in under warranty. It then had an oil leak which was the alternator cover gasket - replaced £180 and now I have the current issue. So far this year, servicing and repairs has cost £1k. Not happy.

Removes Triumph from all potential purchases. You could have bought a KTM if you wanted character

We were selling a couple of hamster cages as our boys hamsters had sadly passed after nearly 4 years...

Advertised on FB marketplace as refuse to sell anything on ebay due to their crazy fees these days..

Now, Hamster cages were £12 big one, £10 for the smaller one..

First message was, can you deliver it to Worcester.... errrrrr No, thats a 40 mile round trip for a £12 cage
Had several others similar

When the larger one finally went we had enquiries on the smaller one like, “will you take a fiver” but I particularly liked the “Can you deliver it as my neighbour cant take me to collect it”

FB marketplace seem to have so many odd people asking the most bizarre questions

Have you got a receipt from the 24k dealer which says "investigate noise" or anything like that? As above, if the fault was there within the warranty period it shouldn't matter that you're out of warranty now. I had exactly the same thing with my car.

Thats pretty good ammo then.

Don't let them fob you off with "we'll pay the parts you'll pay the labour", at least not right away. Volvo tried the same with me but I stuck to my guns and spoke to Volvo UK a few times...eventually they paid for all the parts and 90% of the labour.

I sold the car a week after it was fixed and got a BMW instead

Volvo are cnuts by the way. My first car from them had a steering rack oil leak....they gave me a massive lecture at the MOT about how it would be dangerous, j should really get it fixed, it will fail the next MOT etc. When I pointed out it was under warranty still their tune changed rather quickly. They replaced the whole thing after a bit of complaining.

Just had a spat with the restaurant owner on the campsite because we did not get a proper discount when we had a meal and beers while watching the football last week.

He explained his system and it goes like this.
A pint normally costs €6.65
Staff discount means they cost a much more reasonable €4
(Also bear in mind that they always put a huge head on the beer, so no-one ever gets the full measure.)
UNLESS so it turns out, we have food too. If we have food we get 15% off everything.
In summary
4 pints cost €16
4 pints and a €5 item from the menu costs €26.86

Order separately.

A bunch of us went, years ago, to a place that added a group surcharge for parties of 8+ or similar.

"Two tables of 6, please".

The rescue hound did a runner past the missus, grab I her say, who says the wife!!!!
15 minutes of me chasing the bloody thing through a strange village, eventually she decides enough is enough and she comes to me.
Then she has a right bloody go at me and takes a chunk out of my hand.
Had to pin her to the floor to prevent any more wounds.
Nice French person came along with a bit of rope as a makeshift lead and get her back to the van.
Don't know which is worst, kids or dogs
