One Battle After Another.

Love DiCaprio as an actor but he was wasted on this. His ability to select good films from meh is having a bit of a bumpy ride of late.
Apart from it being too long to support the plot, the musical score was amongst the worst and most grating of any film ever IMO. At one point we had to mute it for some considerable time as the endless LesDawson-style jangly piano went on for ages. FFS. Wouldn't watch it again for this alone.

Watched on Amazon for €4.99 - I feel I overpaid - I need some remuneration for damages to my senses.

Legends on Netflix - very good series, well worth a watch.

Opening filmed at and in Custom House (the old canteen to be precise) on Lower Thames Street, London.

Worked there for 20 years, it is now awaiting conversion to a hotel/apartments whilst being hired out as a film set.

I must confess that I've probably seen every episode of The Big Bang Theory half a dozen times, so it's not a hard sell to me, but this looks like it might be good :)

Just finished first series of Unforgotten.
Really enjoyed it

Just started second series and already sick of the gay couple constantly kissing. None of the straight couples are are at it. Just the producers making a point.

Hmmm

We started watching Criminal Record, starring Cush Jumbo and Peter Capaldi. Although a reasonable effort, it did seem to be desperately trying to prioritising an equality agenda ahead of entertainment. My mate has watched the second series and said it gets more blatant in that one.

Not only that, but the main character works for the 'East London Police Service'. Eh? Not the Metropolitan Police then?

Missed this when it came out, but as the sequel is out, I thought I'd best watch this first. None too shabby, if a little preposterous!

The Punisher: One Last Kill

More like one million last kills. If you're a big fan of a man punching, stabbing and shooting a very large number of people to death then this is right up your street.

You probably have to have seen some of the previous Punisher stuff cos the (not very much of it) plot doesn't make much sense otherwise.

2/3 of the way through Season 1 of Star Trek: Prodigy.

The sci-fi blog sites bend over backwards to say that it isn't a kids version of Star Trek but it soooo is! Animation, cute characters and slightly edgy early teens-ish characters, 30 minutes episodes with the US style abrupt 'cut to advert' bits clearly visible etc etc.

Needless to say, I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Not much happens really, but I can't say I disliked it and even sort of enjoyed it.

I stuck with it, despite knowing i shouldn't have bothered and bailed on it about a 1/3 of the way through. Typical Hollywood ridicuolus story line with stupid levels of violence.

It eased off so carried on. In fact I've watched all 6 series. Absolutely brilliant.

Now need another series to grab my attention.

Ladies First. I was torn here as anything with Sacha Baron Cohen in is a red flag and I'll avoid it, but I was swayed as it also featured Rosamund Pike, of whom I am a fan. Big mistake.

The Kitchen. Thought it was going to be a comedy, like Mob Wives, but it was supposed to be a serious film! :wtf: Remember, I waste my life so you don't have to...

At least when you're watching films, you're not buying new motorbikes :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Finished season 2 of Star Trek: Prodigy. It was a bit of a timeywimey headboiler but I'm a bit sad they canned it tbh.

Started season 2 of Fallout. Looks like it could be as good, if not better, than season 1. It certainly started with a bang...or two. Walton Goggins as the Ghoul is worth watching it for. Marv.
