So only London folk at most risk,I take it?
I live 150 miles from London and rarely go there but still got a ticket for congestion charge ….. ironically it was shortly after I had been to London but in a completely different car with different plate to the one I got the ticket for.
Both my car and the wife’s car have personal plates on them and as far as I know I haven’t posted any pics with them visible. The bike ones I have pretty much got in the habit of partially covering on pictures but might have missed one here and there

Can I not just say,"fuck off,it wasn't me"?
That's almost what i sent in reply to the penalty charge notice but in slightly more polite terms. i did manage to get "incompetent" into the email and "blindingly obvious mistake on your behalf as even a simple online check would show the car pictured is the wrong colour and model"
Yebbut... My thought is tho that most of the cloned plates aren't cloned from pics but from actual vehicles. How many of yousns (ask Skub) up there ^^ had posted pics somewhere before your plates were cloned?

Why do you think that anyone (human ) would be looking at the vehicle details? Incompetent, yes, but that needs aiming at whoever wrote the software.

I am sure they can pass it down the line to the software people and share the feedback
I would assume at some point even if not every one is human checked there is a dip sample to ensure quality control. You can be sure every appeal against a penalty is human checked

So - what's the next one @Bigyin ?
If my one is ok as i didnt claim it .......your bike with a warning sign featuring any sort of animal. This is the UK version but whatever your country has
We had a couple of days of heavy rain which washed the salt off the roads and it's dry and sunny today, but the council seemed determined to keep the roads shitty,so they were out early on and gritted again. Hey ho.
Rinse and repeat. It wrote off February's riding for me and March looks to be the same.
Same here - lovely sunny spring day for an hour this morning and now it's chucking it down again with -5 forecast overnight, so it's probably going to be a while yet. Plus the farm vehicles are all out whenever there's a break in the weather.
