Today I have done as little as possible!! Day of rest as such. Walked dog quite a few times. Mowed the lawn. Repainted the line that shows the church parking area, did some reading, watched a video, played with the cat, chatted with my daughter on WhatsApp video, cooked dinner, defrosting chicken for tomorrow's coconut butter chicken (geddit) curry. Not much else.

You need to revisit the good book, my friend, You're getting your days mixed up. ;)

Today I've been working. Proper working and getting paid :D
Not done any paid work since I was instructing for MSV 11 years ago.

My pal runs an enduro tour business and currently has bronchitis.
He was telling me he had to cancel clients, so I offered to take them out so he'd still have some income.
We split it 50/50 so i got €100 for 3 hours work. (Fun really)

Finished at 12:30 before it got hot.

I love showing folk around my island and taken dozens round in the mighty Duster 4WD, but on bikes can give them a huge buzz.
The lad was amazed and I was just showing him my favourite tracks and best views.

Paul was so impressed he asked me to take out 2 clients on Tuesday. Double bubble :obscene-birdiedoublered:

This is his tour business. I took the first 2 photos on the site and that's my Husky.

Happy boy here :)

Found out the hard way that at 55 years-old, trying to 'run off' an injury picked up whilst running the previous week is not a smart move...

Bought tonight's winning $335M lottery ticket
Dropped of a medical bill that I'm not responsible for at Member Services as my HMO office.
Took the pup for a drive to the gas station.
Gassed up the F350 (15 gal, $72)
Got hit up by some remarkably hot looking methhead at the gas station who needed gas "to get home to Tehachapi". I put $5 credit on the pump she was parked at...
Stabbed myself with my weekly Ozempic shot.

Just realized I forget to change the pharmacy that does the refills.

A very long story short, I was talking to an old guy I knwo about doing a few things to my place to help sell it. One of these things, was to renew the decking as its tired and rotten in places and what did he think was my cheapest way out. He said any old shit decking will do from a sale POV as it looks fresh even if it wont last that long, and the cheapest way is to go over the top of the old stuff thats down as theres no disassembly, or skips to be had. I lol'd and said what about the weight etc, and he said back when he was working, he's done that for loads of developers and its the same way as they (apparently) tile over tiles! :wtf: And they say the motor trade is full of bodgers... :D

TBH Pietin I'd do the work as if I was staying...once you start to look seriously at places, do the sums etc etc etc you might just change your mind.

I've properly bodged a few houses I've sold. I nearly felt guilty, once ;)

Popped into Watling Tyres to get yet another puncture fixed. At this rate I'll have more mushrooms in that back tyre than a dodgy risotto.

I watched the postman walk past our house without stopping to drop anything off. I ordered new fork seals and fork bushes last Thursday from M&P who I now suspect must be doing dropshopping sales. I hate it when I am in the mood to do a job sitting waiting for spare parts to arrive. A day wasted.

I was going to say I've never been in a Hard Rock Cafe on the basis that the concept fills me with ick.

But then I remembered I went to one in San Francisco on the pier.
In my defence, I was hungry.
