6mile dog walk in the snow, was doing a recce to see if an off-road MTB to work tonight was viable but sadly I think it'll have thawed too claggy goo by the time I leave. Still, the boys enjoyed themselves.

Bit of plane spotting this morning.
Very noisy military non FR24 aircraft went over.
Very large wingspan compared to fuselage, definitely not supersonic due to wing sweep (lack of).
Judging by the silhouette, guessing at a dragon lady!

The playing field of the J&I school I attended was parallel with the approach to RAF Finningley, one playtime we all stood and watched a TR1 come in to land. That was before they renamed them back to U2.

Walked into town to have a couple of cold beers outside my local in the sunshine.

No big deal, but first time in 6 weeks I've been pain free enough to do so.
Even though got lift back as Pen was in town, it felt so good and a huge step on the recovery

:)

I was riding along the north Wales coast and became aware of something above and to my right. B-2 stealth bomber coming in low on, I assume, final approach to Anglesey, but probably too low for that. It seemed along side for ages.

It looked evil.

(There was a recent report of some sort of dogfight between something else exotic in the area iirc).

Day off today. Took son to work (quicker than the bus). Walked the dog (wrapped up warm). Did some shopping and bought some jigsaw puzzles in the charity shops for my little girl (got 5 for what 1 new one would cost). Got dried furry rabbit ears for the dog, she loves them and they are good for her digestive tract (two a week keeps her poo regular). Checked some stuff in the bell tower storage area, found that one of the plates is hall marked silver, so will get that weighed and take the value of silver, putting the money towards the church hall fund. Had an afternoon nap!

Took dog out again for an evening walk, much colder! She had the zoomies and was a very happy little thing. Back home for a nice dinner cooked by the wife, she is such a great cook at using up what we have in the fridge and knocks up a good meal.

Opened the Baileys and had a glass with her, now relaxing and might just watch a BluRay version of Wall-E because it is a nice feel good movie.

Been dipping my hands in absolutely freezing water.... repeatedly....aka clearing the horse troughs.
Those nutters that dunk themselves ' for health reasons' really do need a check up from the neck up!

Happily spent the whole day in a onesie, dressing gown and furry slippers! Also done 2 dial ins, without cameras, while being kept refreshed by g&t’s by the F.
Chicken curry awaits,but I really need a shower first😂

Tore scar tissue in my lower back, hangover from prolapsed disc which is playing up. Managed to drive to the school to take the Eucharist, got home and went to bed. So I am on co-codamyl and hoping I can move again in an hour as I have a meeting I have to be at. Supposed to be at the pub this evening with a parishioner who is going through a very hard time and needs a beer or three. I may have to just tough it out and hope I can walk there and back. Fortunately it is literally just outside the church gates, about a two minute hobble from my front door.

Walked up the road to buy some essentials, namely bread and tonic water. Lost to my wife at Boggle (again, and she's French, ffs). Went for a jog, interrupted by witnessing an RTA involving a car and a scooter, so stopped to direct traffic for a couple of minutes and offer my services as a witness. Took advantage of our 'low January' rule that whilst it's a glass of wine only during the week it's no holds barred at the weekend.

Would you believe first day back at work since the Friday before Christmas. Shame my afternoon job was abandoned due to frozen ground but that was out of my control. Dont know about Englandshire but up here next weeks looking a good 10 degree higher so thankfully i should get a full week. This being off for weeks doing nothing is shite.

Old Peculiar and Guinness it was. And very nice indeed. Woke up this morning refreshed and moving a bit more easily. Had a great time chatting with the individual and also another person who was at our table watching his team Hammers, being beaten by ASV. Poor man, but he had the grace to admit that ASV played better football on the night. First game I've seen in decades.... Heading out to do a prayer session on "Images and Objects" and how material things influence and direct our conversations with God. I can't get the Triumph into the Church though.... Ride hard, pray harder!

Bought some tyres online.
Tried to buy them a while back, but vendor said can't do lower than x.
Today a message pops up saying bin for x-35.....kerchiiiiiiing.
I have never understood why some people won't accept a reasonable offer in the first place, cost them £25, not much, but do that on every deal and it would hurt!

Went for a lovely wintery walk. Misty early on but 🌞 broke through and made for some nice photos, finished off with a drop of aldi's finest Mulled wine warmed up and the last piece of Xmas cake. 🥰

Got up at stupid o'clock

Drove to the valley to pick up the sprinter - got the Mercedes V-Class slightly sideways on some black ice :o :o :o

Drove to Tignes to pick up some people

Drove to GVA to drop of some people

Parked up and chilled for a bit

Went to pick up some different people and managed to take a total flyer in the parking area. Now have a hand that looks like I've punched a wall a few times and knees that look like something else happened!! And my right arm and back of my shoulder hurts :( :(

Found the guests to pick up (who offered me antiseptic wipes and first aid - awwwwww. I just used water and a tissue    )

Drove to Les Coches (the last bit in fog - first time i've actually used the rear fog lights in years, but I couldn't go more than 50kmph, and struggled to see the white car ahead that wasn't using them!!) dropped off the people

Boss called and I rushed back to the depot to refuel and clean the sprinter before I did too many hours!!

Got a lift back home and organised the guy with the minibus I will use in the morning to let me know where he parks it later cos I'll be asleep (hopefully!) by the time he gets to resort!!

Got to get up at about 1.40am to get to Brides Les Bains for 3.15am :o :o :o

Early doors frosty MTB with dogs, crashed, hurt thumb, arm and shoulder. Went to Dunelm with Mrs M, bought a light, got home but need Wago connectors to make it fit so ordered those online. No have icepack on arm watching rubbish on telly and wondering if I can have some ale for medicinal purposes during dry January.
