Started the process of taking down the Xmas tat. Hopefuly done by tomorrow night,if not some time on Tuesday.

I was told off because today is the 12th day of Retailmas and they shouldn't be down until tomorrow,so I left one of the trees up as a compromise. Lookit me being all compromising n' schitt.

I had an early start this morning, needed to leave resort by about 6am to get to the depot for 6.45 (it's only 30 mins but it was raining on new and old snow overnight, so extra time for slowing down!!

Anyway - alarm set for 5.20 (and 5.25 and 5.30!!)

Get woken up by a phone call from the boss asking me where I am, so I said, at home. Why are you at home Noggin, you should be in Val d'Isere

I replied that No, I was doing a pick up at Aime 2000 and not now!! So he said he'd call back

Turned out that the company we were doing the transfer for had my name and contact as the driver. The actual driver had text the customers to say he'd be a bit late, then it turned out that he was too drunk to drive  (not sure if he tried to start a vehicle and couldn't or if he just didn't turn up - he didn't call the boss at that point). So when the company called my boss they said I was the missing driver!! (Luckily I have my phone set to bin unknown numbers unless I'm waiting for customers at the airport - 9 missed calls in ten minutes!!  )

Boss phoned me back and said sorry, but could I go to the office (it's only downstairs!) and help him figure out the planning as he has to go drive a coach as the driver that should be doing that now has to go to Val d'Isere :o :o

I go to the office but I last used the system in April and I'd been rudely woken up an hour early and couldn't work out how to help!!

Luckily, his wife did the transfer he was going to do so he came back to the office to sort out all the shit.

Basically the 9 people that the driver didn't go and get did get picked up, but it was pretty certain that they would miss the flight :( Turns out that's not just to the uk - they were flying to the US and then had to get a connecting flight. Not exactly a cheap change and ok, insurance will cover some but not a good thing for the business (or customers.

WTF do people not just not drink when they know they are working/driving the next day???

Stupid fukker has lost his job now too

Anyway - I did the two transfers I was down to do, couldn't do the next two as ran out of working time - cos I'm starting at 1.15am tomorrow!!

Going to bed in a mo - but still horrified at someone doing something like that :( :(

Up fairly early, finished sermon and then went to the church where I am covering a service. 91 people attending, more watching online. Lovely to be in that fellowship and to enjoy that style of worship. Back home after buying some bread for lunches. Cooked dinner and took the bins out for tomorrows collection. Done some admin work for the week ahead. Going to have a glass of something and head to bed in the next hour or so. Been a long day.

I grew up in a strong Catholic family. No regrets.
But there were many holydays of obligation where you had to attend church.

Do these online "visits" fulfil the obligation?

Online services are for people who are sick, immobile, in hospital, overseas or simply too tired to get into church. It is a means of hearing God's Word and being part of the worship. The "obligation" is met in the act of seeking the Lord personally, it does not require a church visit or confession. The Catholic church has made hurdles for people in coming to faith and maintaining faith. Personally, speak to Him daily, read Scripture and meditate on it, have fellowship with like minded believers of the Lord Jesus, attend Mass when possible and stay close to Him. One truth is that if you have met with the Christ, you then journey on with Him. Faith is knowing that God is active in all we see, even the bad times.

Got to work half an hour too early - annoying as that's 30 mins sleep I could have had.

Got home about 6am and went to bed

After two hours of trying to sleep, I had to get up and get warm stuff on! Why was I cold? Totally weird as I'm virtually never cold in my place in winter!!

Then managed two hours sleep and got up, ate and did stuff.

Been out for a little bimble to see peeps, now going back to bed as have to get up at 11pm to go back to work :(

HTF do people do this swapping from days to nights in a week ????? It sux! I don't sleep well either side and I can't work out when to eat or use/take my HRT!!

On the HRT, one is suppose to be morning, so when I get up at 11pm to go to work or when I come home at 6am to go to sleep!! The other has a bit of a sedative effect so I take it before I go to bed. But I'm only in bed for 4 hours ish, so then I think I do Need the other so that I can benefit from the 'energising' effect of the morning one. Maybe? But I do also need some serious coffee in a flask to take with me so I can have that halfway through the four hours shift!!!

And when/what am I supposed to eat?

Wayyyyyy too complicated!!!

I put my bike in hibernation a week after i bought it. Not had real snow or ice like what the drama queen met office said we were getting. Today i did start it in the shed and vroom vroom'd the throttle a few times. Them Black Widows sound quite nice.

Early start to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat, back to the hotel for breakfast then out again for more temples.

I'm all templed out for today so enjoying a beer before going to a bank and hopefully retrieving my bank card. Then it's a dip in the pool and more beer.

Nights again last night but off the rest of today and until Saturday :bblonde: :bblonde:

Got woken up by a phone call and so came out to my favourite coffee place for coffee, breakfast/lunch/something, more coffee and probably some rum!!

Only, yesterday I made an error in pronunciation when telling a fried that I’d returned the little Fiat to the rental place.

I said la petite fiotte.

This does not mean the same thing

Lots of teasing yesterday and when I arrived today, even more. The other customers were very confused when I arrived and Thibault greeted me with “hello my little gay” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’m neither little nor gay!! 🤣🤣 (could be translated as sissy too !)

I’ve warned him that might have to find a different place to have coffee 🤣🤣🤣

Been refitting the garage door on the moho   , and watching a steady stream of C17s head in an out of Fairford. Either they're practicing touch and go's or summats up!

+ absolutely zero showing on FlightRadar24. (Training flights usually show).

Probably off to defend Canada.

Edit: there's one or two C17s going around in many circles from Brize Norton.
