Speak as you find, I've never had an issue with Fowlers. They also have one hell of a selection of bikes and kit these days.


BTW, I rode an ADV 350 yesterday. It's almost identical size wise to my Xmax 300, but also very different to ride. I would have been very happy with either model to live with.

Fella at work has not long had a new one, uses it to keep the miles off his also brand new Hardly Movingson. Really nice bike, I'd happily own one.....

So I got a train this morning at 6.22am to Bristol and went to fowlers, WOW, they are massive, I had no idea, wish I had more time to wonder round (had to get home in the wife and lad)

signed some paper work and paid for it, done.

so its a 2022 with 3600 miles, I paid 7.1 for it, its got a years Honda warranty, I got them to fit an R&G tail tidy (a lot nicer that the huge original) it has the sports pack and I think it makes it look proper tasty, plus they will post all the original bits to me as well.

I fitted a quad lock and set off, feels nice, not to extreme (arse up chin down)
its quick, just need to get in the habit of revving it more
it was a brisk 160 odd mile ride home, weather held up until I got back home, sits well at decent speeds, bloody love having a quick shifter, they are so much fun, also its been a long time since ive had a slipper, again, great fun and very smooth,

looking forward to a ride for fun now, only thing I need for It are a set of ASV levers and some crash protection.

Right todays jobs done,

Fitted the wiring for the heated gilet
Removed the rear passenger foot pegs
Ordered
ASV F3 levers
Crash bungs
Number plates with a black rear

Found this thread whilst doing an online search for locks that will fit a xadv.

Funny how things change in a relatively short time. I was really happy with my XMax for the 2 yrs I had it. Then I've sort of ignored my argument about 300cc scooters being good enough, so now own my new Honda XADV!!

When I've had a chance to ride it, with the weather being so bad, I've really enjoyed it, as was said earlier in this thread, it really is more of a motorcycle than a scooter, sort of best of both worlds.

Just trying to get some miles in before it goes in for it's first 600 mile service, hopefully this year before the dealers get really busy again for spring.

Still not sure what sort of lock I'm going to need. I did get my almax through the rear spokes but it was a struggle and not at all convenient.

How about one of those anti angle grinder hiplocks in the wheel and the almax attached to the hiplock if it'll fit

I do have a hiplock which I just about manage to get through the front spokes. I don't think my almax will be big enough for the hiplock to go through the links.

I have got a long chain, but it's seriously heavy and not something I'd want to carry about with me. Maybe another D lock? Litelok X3 or something? Doesn't solve the problem of being picked up though.

IIRC correctly, I downsized both my big Almax and Pragmasis (home and work) from a 19mm to a 16mm so they went between the spokes?
