From what I can gather, its good practice to fit an 02 sensor eliminator after fitting an aftermarket system, so I ordered one and it arrived yesterday, so I'll put it on tonight to see if it does anything? Not really sure anything needs doing, but most tuners say to do it, so who am I to argue!

Description
The Oxygen sensors of all motorcycles are limited to catch the emission standards and in some specific throttle positions will try to alter the fuel mixture to catch the stoichiometric Air/Fuel ratio. This system is designed to improve emissions but has negative effect on performance.

The Oxygen sensor eliminator kit by SmartMoto replaces the OEM unit and forces the ECU to use the installed map without the restrictions of the Oxygen sensor.

Key Features
Improves throttle response, offering smoother power delivery and more torque in the low and mid RPMs.
Supports aftermarket fuel controllers that require the elimination of the Oxygen sensor.
Supplements the installation of aftermarket exhaust systems that do not have an Oxygen sensor port.
Can be used to replace a malfunctioning Oxygen sensor.
Plug and play design, no wire cutting required.

Still has a cat, which was why I didn't fit one initially. Idle speed has raised slightly since fitting the system though?

I'd have thought a Cat system was a Cat system, no change. So a bit weird to me that you'd change stuff

It's louder than stock, so the exhaust rate has changed? But I see some people fit o2 eliminators to standard bikes too. The sensor controls the closed loop side of things which is where the emissions/drive by noise is met, so kinda makes sense. All said and done it was £14 delivered, so not an expensive mistake but possibly a cheap improvement? I'll let you know after its fitted and tested...

People fit O2 mods like the Kevxtx's, but i've never known anyone fit the cheap little block thing.

Best to get a flash which does away with the need for the O2 sensor. All those plugs do is fool the management light.

I'd have agreed if he'd got rid of the Cat... but all he's done is swap 1 system for another, so for me, no flash or anything at all actually needed.

This bike is probably the best fuelling Fi bike i''ve owned. Its not perfect on a trailing throttle, but its really damn good. My problem with Fi bikes is I ride right where their problems lie, but, as I say, this one is so good I'm not sure i'd bother with a reflash? I'm just intrigued by the eliminator though as there is a lot of people using them and even some tuners recommend them for the closed loop? As it's so cheap I don't mind having a play, if it was say, £50+ i'd not bother.

We need to get you on a 990 SDR, the write up would be hysterical

We need to get you on a 990 SDR, the write up would be hysterical
I am fussy about fuelling, but then I ride in a completely different way to you. You get on a bike and go for a blast, whereas I ride through heavy traffic, often in the lower gears on part/trailing throttle, this is exactly where Fi bikes play up.

I found that particularly true for the K1200R. The Speed Triple is better, but still prefers the open road. I think -1 front socket will go a long way to curing that for me. Glad the bike is working well for you. You can still have fun on a commute!

I like heated grips but these are mounted in a way that you catch the wire with your thumb when you go to use the indicator and whilst you’re looking is that the worse horn switch you’ve ever seen!!

Those switches look properly half arsed in general. I'm surprised they made it out of the factory without any of the test riders going "hang on a sec...".

Those grips are fitted totally the wrong way round? they should be flipped 180 degrees I think?

Oxford grips have an arrow on the grips to aid installation,whoever put those on must have missed that.

You could reposition them yourself,if you are careful.
