:D you don't hang about, do you :D
I had 11 on my watch list on Ebay after discussing it on here yesterday. So pinged all 11 about theirs and asked on the potential deal about 8pm last night.

THis one dealer was replying to me until about 10pm via mail and seemed really nice. Once this mornings ride was canned i jumped in the Mondeo and drove down to view it. He came in with a better P/X value than the one i viewed yesterday and his car was also £1000 cheaper. It was a lower spec of trim, but that just meant i didn't get leather seats which i don't want anyway although the roof rails would have been useful and the panoramic roof cool, but neither were deal breakers.

Took it for a test drive and it's not as nice as the Mondeo, not as plush and possibly not quite as quiet... However, when looking it over it was all straight, happy, had 4 new tyres on (Mondeo needs 2 maybe 4 next week for MOT) it was also WAY higher than the Mondeo on ground clearance. I can just about get my arm under the Mondeo, the Nissan i could probably climb under it without ramps lol.

Conversation was amusing with dealer.
"What did you think then"
"meh, it's a bit rattly, it's a bit less refined, it's got a chip in the windscreen. It's well, OK sorta"
"oh ok then, you leaving it"
"no, i'll take it... lets do a deal"
"really ? are you sure."
"yeah lets do it"

So all the paperwork was done and dusted in 15 mins, taxed and insured and i was on my merry way. Sat Nav was decent enough in it, phone works well. I drove home at 70mph on the cruise and got 58mpg on the display, so i'll take that as a win. It's now parked outside the house and ready for heading to Wales tomorrow. I do need to sort out a towbar or another method for getting bikes on it... (in it for this weekend) but yeah it's all good.

If anyone asks me about the colour of my car i'd be more worried about them than i would my actual answer. Anyone who knows me knows how little i care.

I've put towbars on them, hardest bit is getting the bumper off. You have to do a wee bumper cut but it's a handy enough job.

That's a good price, parts alone for my Mitsubishi were nearly £300.

Well as I now own the Qashqai that's a bit late to worry about. The xtrail was ok but not really bigger inside, only outside. Mate has one and it's a bit bigger for passengers but that's rarely an issue

Be fair....weeksy only just got stuck in a Mondeo. A teensy bit more ground clearance and some better tyres is all thsr was ever needed.
