They both look OK. But does the KTM logo add 50% to the price ?weeksy wrote: Thu May 07, 2020 7:03 am Well the dealer doesn't have the Leo Vince in for my model at the moment, so i'm debating this...
Personally i think the lines suit the angles of the 690 a bit more than the rounder Leo Vince can etc.
Added to that, the exhaust note from some Ebay vids seems a bit deeper too compared to the LV.
No, it adds £30 compared to the Leo Vince, about the same as an Arrow, less by £300 than an Akrapovic.Yorick wrote: Thu May 07, 2020 11:20 amThey both look OK. I always listenHarry wrote: Sun May 10, 2020 8:08 am You should listen to me more, I did say you'd be unhappy with a 790 - although I expected it to be within a few hours of it being delivered, not before delivery![]()
It's a shame you weren't into bikes during the two stroke era, because I reckon you'd probably have an LC or TDR now.
Small bikes with bags of character are loads of fun.
Very much so.
What are you going to do as if they're separate parts you can't really back it as it was only the can being sold?weeksy wrote: Sun May 10, 2020 8:28 amVery much so.

I ain't paying another £200 for them bits
The thing is, I have more than 1, the others just have pedals instead of engines. Even if we were not in lockdown, 90% of days I'd pick pedals over engines.Harry wrote: Sun May 10, 2020 10:09 amThe 690 is the perfect bike for you, over the last decade or so it's the one that seems to have bought you the most joy.weeksy wrote: Sun May 10, 2020 8:26 am

This time, I listened before making the swap which has saved me a fortune swapping back again in 3 months.
I'm more than happy with the 690 from a riding and even a nostalgia perspective, it may not seem it, but me and 690s have had some great adventures over the years, from track stuff, to euro trips etc, pics with my boy in the paddock sitting on it making noises etc.
But you know that everyone needs more than one bike right?
Aye, but I can't even imagine what a 2nd bike I'd pick. Even if I persuade the wife to swap hers, is there any bike on the planet I'd pick up the keys for instead of the 690.. mmmm. Maybe, maybe not.Harry wrote: Sun May 10, 2020 1:12 pmBut for the 10% of the time you want to ride a motorcycle then you need a choiceweeksy wrote: Sun May 10, 2020 11:06 am
