Needs GS stylee tubeless wheels, you'd have got home on a tin of tyreweld.
They're even an option on the 450 Himalayan, dunno why Honda never bothered?

They do them om the Africa Twin Adventure Sport and they have wheel sizes that would suit me better, but they were all fully loaded bikes when I was looking and I wanted a plain jane version. I did think about the puncture issue and thought, realistically how many punctures have I ever had!

Get on the look out for the AS wheels, I'm sure they'd bolt straight in!

Inner tube was shredded and no one has one in stock locally. Drew a blank from Amazon for next day delivery too but did order a spare from them that will be her next week. Ordered one express delivery from Demon Tweeks and hope it gets here tomorrow as supposed to be away for the weekend.
All very annoying really as if it just needed a patch put on i could have done that and been in work by now and finished the job I wanted to get done by the end of today. Still, it was a rapid deflation with the. bike getting very squirrely at 80mph. TBH I was lucky i didn't crash as I fought to keep it upright as I crossed the lanes to get to the hard shoulder. I guess that's more important than my self imposed deadlines...

Does a person of your standing not just have a man to do that for you?

Battle ready. The Mighty AT waits patiently, ready for FWB power rangers on the killing fields, err lanes, of the A13!

I tried this today and it worked, but not as well as his effort did. TBF I didn't encourage it at all, just nailed the throttle open but it did start to come up.

On my 939 Hyper, I tried popping up the front wheel as i crested a small bridge and nearly got smacked in the face with the handlebars.

Re: NBT: Ive just bought my forever bike part 3!
New second hand handguard arrived yesterday and is fitted to the bike now. Nice to see it looking undamagrd again!
Also got one if these which apparently make it sit a bit higher on the side stand.
The new bike novelty hadn’t worn off at all. I have really gelled with the bike. Bizarrely it seems nothing like the older version I had. Feels much lighter and less top heavy? But then the 1000cc version was heavier and mine had just about every accessory available fitted to it.
When I was looking for this one I wanted a bog standard bike with no extras and this one fitted that bill as it doesn’t even have a passenger grab rail on! Looks like that choice has paid off.Deffo one of the best bikes I’ve ever owned!

Re: NBT: Ive just bought my forever bike part 3!
Started to prep it for winter , for want of a better term, and looked for a taller screen. Day before I went on holiday I noticed a OEM one on there for £65 + £4 p&p, but I didn't really have anyone to get it delivered too, so i reluctantly left it. Looked again when I got back and it was still there and he'd dropped the price by £10.
It arrived this morning and i'll put it on next week.
Will also add the handguard extender/deflector things and see how that works out. If they dont shield enough then i'll add heated grips too. The Honda ones integrate with the display and controls so I cant bring myself to fit any of the other options, despite the price savings. Who knows, I may get lucky on eBay or something, but not too bothered about it at present...
