Been having a senior moment!
There's been a small box in the back of the Moho for a couple of years. Sat there inconspicuously, until last week I decided to 'put it somewhere safe'.
Now require to use the contents of said box (due to new MOT tester), can I find it, can I fuck!

Put a chunk of cow in the crock pot with gubbins to make gravy. Roast spuds/carrots/parsnips happening later.

Technically yesterday now: I couldn't find my ticket to The Prodigy, so I snuck in behind a security guard when he turned his back
Did not get caught

Was at the golf driving range yesterday and some 'geeza' was chatting to me, he was a proper wide-boy and made me and the boy laugh.
He was telling us all about his new Wood.. "giz a go then mate"... He looked dubiously at me... But handed it over.
For some bizarre reason i'm still hitting the ball gloriously at the moment despite the fact i go to the range about once every 2 months.
"boom" i hit it perfectly and we chatted golf for a bit. He then wants to pay my green fees at the local private course and tutor him for a round as i'd spent some time picking his swing apart and giving him some teaching.
The look on his face "nah, i've not played for 30+ years" was priceless as he's telling me he practices every day
"mate that's such a waste" LOL... i just swing and hit it... Can't say i've ever consdiered it a waste of talent.

Reminds me of a coaching session at a driving range. I was chuntering that I couldn't get along with my 4 iron (but loved the 6 iron of the set). 'Hmm' says the coach. *twiddle twiddle* 'Feels OK'.....*wooshthwack*
Smacks a ball, dead straight, perfect flight - nearly out of the range.
(The set was a simple bladed type...I eventually swapped 'em for peripherally weighted but I never hit a ball as far as he did, even using a wood

).

A guy called Jerry Paladin described this sort of thing as 'one year's experience repeated 20 times'.

Some stupid stuff today!! The ski school fkd up the requested touring skis for my nephew to use yesterday (gave him extremely short piste skis, can't walk up on piste skis - especially without skins!!) so we got some yesterday. Yesterday morning wasn't quite nice, some cloud but crisp and good views - if we'd have been able to walk up and look. Today was bloody raining

So we walked for about 30 mins, he gets the idea and really wants to try again when it's not raining - despite the rain, this made me very happy. Especially as he's started doing some off piste with the instructor I booked for him and he loves it - if he can get into ski touring, they can go do some more serious stuff!!
Then, after I'd warmed up and got dry stuff on, I had to move the loaned bike from the bottom of the mountain to where it lives - in monsoon rain of approx 5 degrees
So, I got soaked to the pant twice today and neither was in a good way
But, heading out for my first physio since mid August in a bit, then last night dinner with the teenagers before we drive to Geneva tomorrow to say goodbye
It's been a mental week for me with starting work, different types of shifts to the previous years and trying to communicate with three teenagers!! But at least they have all had a good time and want to come back

Sort of today, but started a while ago...
On the way back from a recent trip away I had to pick up some food for when we got home. It involved salad. (Shock, horror etc). They had packs of sprouted stuff like broccoli and radish so I plumped things up with some radish sproutlings. They were

so, the missus promptly orders seeds and jars etc and we've become a hydroponics unit or something.
Alfalfa worked.

Broccoli seeds currently evolving. (While we were away someone was waxing lyrical on the health benefits of broccoli seed sprouts...as she merrily dumped the tub she'd brought with her.......on her (very) full English breakfast

).

We've got a big sliding metal gate on front of garden and passenger gets out when we arrive home.
I waited patiently for her to drive through, but just got "that" stare.
Hmmm.
Oh. I suppose I'd better open the bloody gate then

Remote controlled electric gate, sir?
I have a sliding gate at the far end of the garden. Next door neighbour so impressed, he got one too. And added RC

Spent most of the day drying my gear after the biblical rain yesterday.
Jacket still needs to dry out, but at least my H20 gloves aren't filled with it any more.
I was reet wet!

Electric gate? The bane of my life!
We have a gate to the development and it is the cause of more aggravation than anything else. Especially when it ceases to work. Opening an electric gate with a mag lock when it is live but just doesn't want to play is not the easiest task in the world. Especially when it us pissing down.

Been sick for a while so decides to check the pool chemicals now that I'm feeling better.
Done the chemicals hundreds of times in the last 8 years. Never a problem.
They chlorine shock didn't go straight through so pulled the basket up, which dripped onto my brand new shorts.
That's 30€ down the swanny

Talking of being poorly, I've gone downhill over last 6 weeks.
Yesterday I couldn't even move my legs, arms or hands to get out of bed.
Ambulance to hospital once they'd carried me out the bedroom
Was in ages for more tests.
Gave me more painkillers than usual, including big bottle of tramadol administered by drip.
It's like a miracle today. Walked the dog a mile. Did the pool.
Hosed down the big white floor area behind the villa.
An hour was enough. Can't push too hard or I'll get payback when the drugs wear off.
But nice to have a little respite while it lasts.
And gives Penny a break as she's had to do nearly everything for me the last week.
Going out tonight for first time in 4 weeks if still feeling OK

My local pet shop has a DIY dog washing room. Bath with a removable panel, hooks to secure the hound, selection of shampoos, towels, drier, etc.
£11 for an hour's use. Dog now looks and smells respectable, though she never seems to enjoy the experience.

I remember washing our dog. Not really concerned by the process, but shook himself vigorously every 30 seconds or so. Dog got clean, human got wet.

Sounds grim. GWS Amigo!
PS Colour the bleach stains on your shorts with an appropriate colour sharpie. Job jobbed!
