Just spent a small fortune on an MOT and 4 new tyres.
Why oh why do manufacturers fit such wide low profile tyres to cars. Fronts are bad at 225/40, rears are worse at 255/35.
They are noisy, uncomfortably firm, and make kerbing your alloys almost inevitable. They also wear out very rapidly.

Getting my defence in first (it was dark and it wasn't my car), I admit I've tried to undo "lug nuts" that were actually crappy chrome-plastic covers over the OE actual lug nuts. There was much swearing as obviously the lug spanner didn't fit.

Even after 4 mile dog walk earlier, felt super good so kept going to 1300m with no rest.
I'll be up to a mile by next week.
And off out for enduro ride in about an hour. It's hot here, so gonna head up into the hills

First time I tried to change a wheel on the SAAB, the wheel brace wouldn't fit on the nuts. ..hmmmm, so went to tool box for a socket, wouldn't fit between nut and channel on the wheel.....hmmmmm.
Bless them, SAAB fitted plastic chrome covers on all the nuts, which I might add are a ball ache to remove in the cold!

Volvo do that too, but there's a tool in the kit to remove them, like giant tweezers.

Sorting out a cable reel!
In the process of jet washing the decking and reqd the use of a 2nd cable reel.
This one had been playing up/u/s for a while now. Ran the multimeter over it, no continuity on the feed, so rolled it all out to see if there's the obvious break.....nope.
Took a gamble on the connection within the reel being fubar'd.........oh yeah!
It ain't pretty ....but it works!
