The black cherry is way too sweet to drink neat, but goes down easy mixed with pepsi max, ice and 1/4 of a lime.

The aldi knock off ain't too bad, not as spiced as regular kraken, but does the job when on a budget.

I dont do gas/sweet very well as i have a small hiatus hernia going on and the gas irritates it after a few. I tend to stick with flat cola or buy cheap shite what goes flatter quicker.

'A puncture repair kit, what with us planning on taking longer rides it'd be daft to spoil a long weekend waiting for a tow truck for a simple fix'

Well, that's the other essentials for longer rides taken care of.

I sometimes use an app, Too Good to Go, which gets cheap food and drink. Local restaurants and shops sell stuff that they didn't shift that day. I've turned a few people on to it, but it obviously varies massively with location.

Fortunately there are dozens of places near me on it. Sometimes I get a pret lunch for two people for 3 quid, sometimes it's a maasive bag of Churros for a fiver. There's a really good little independent Polish Baker who does all kinds of bread for 50p a go.

Today for the first time ever the local Brewdog pub popped up, and since I was 2 mins walk away I picked up....

Four quid

No idea what the German stuff is. The cans are draft stuff they pulled straight into the tin and then put a lid on with a doodad behind the bar. They thought the keg was coming to it's end but they got it wrong, so they basically sold me cheap beer for no reason.

I've used that app but there's not a lot of options up here!! LOL And I'm not often in the valley in the right place at the right time, so I rarely take anything :(

I do pop into our local spar regularly looking for the discounted stuffs - mostly in the interseason :1

Night shift munchies struck and we found a place that did GF puddings. Not sure about dairy free but I’ll see how many trips to the loo I need tomorrow!

Seeing as I live between Plant 42 & Edwards AFB, I couldn't resist this just to screw with people :)

Been wanting some panniers for ages but they stopped making the ones I like.
I gave away all my luggage when we moved here.
But saw a full set and tank bag on Ebay for £80.
The missus brought them back yesterday.
They are like brand new and got all the straps and covers. Happy boy.

Except that the panniers cover the indicators so will have to whip off the tail tidy and fit original back end.

And also fitted some new front pads in readiness for Portimao.
Wowsers. Awesome. First time I pulled the lever they hit hard. Even before I'd bedded them in.
Did about 30 miles and at the end I was only using 1 finger.
Best brakes I've ever had :)

I used to run those as trackday pads - brilliant stopping. Not so good on wet cold UK roads though, struggled to get heat in to them. Not as issue in paradise though I guess? :D

I had SBS RS in the Street and they were awesome unless it was really cold (below 10c). I tried to get some for the Twin but couldn't find any so got SBS HS instead which are pretty good but they started to squeak when they got hot on Sunday doing some Kent lanes.

Not me, but Mrs D just bought a Nikon ZFC.

If you held it in your hand you'd swear at first glance it's a 35mm SLR from about 1983.

Lots of you probably already know it's actually a digital mirrorless camera. Kinda like an SLR in that you can change lenses, bugger about with the settings etc. but as the name implies there's no "R" going on here...

So cool, being able to see all the settings changes taking effect live BEFORE you press the button.

Plus it's a funky looking retro thing...gonna buy her one of those stripey aftermarket straps with embroidered letters for Chrimbo
