Commute home, M1 down to one lane, so cut across Peadotown (Rotherham) and got stuck in a different traffic jam.
Sat on the dual carriageway in my diesel Ovlov not going anywhere very fast and on the opposite side (clear of traffic), a bloke on a Gen 1 Millie gives it some beans... it had those twin narrow pipes, so might have been an SP.
It sounded flippin' amazing.
So I'm looking on FB marketplace for cheap RSV's now.

Baby D loves flying ant day, she thinks they're fun.
I don't remember it happening at all before about 2000. I do remember seeing lots of earwigs when I was a kid. Hardly ever see one now.
PS never saw a hornet in this country until a handful of years ago. Regular sight now. They're impressive!
You hear em coming from a mile away.

. My aunt's farm in rural Denmark has loads of em (red squirrels too!). They're like Lancaster bombers.

Almond croissant, breakfast of champions.
(Actually, it looks a bit like a deep fried terrapin

).

It was very nice. Quick scoot into town on the ebike saw plenty of pastry products bought and brought back for the team.
Getting kitted up shortly to hit trails for a few hours.

Not a bad view in a morning either. Is it an AirBnB place?

First ride out with my youngest since he passed his cbt, from what I saw in the mirrors he’s doing good, got his DAS next week.
We went to look at a 2000 Fazer 600 in a local dealer, from the fuzzy pics on their site I was expecting a bit of a shed but it turns out to be near mint………and now I want it

Yup. Was a bloody great choice. It's a huge place and lovely.
20 mins hike to town which is about the only downside to it

Next week when I pick it up
might be for me might be for my boy, depends on wether he passes or even wants a faired bike, he seems to have his eye on the K100 at the moment which is pretty cheap for him to insure and very easy to ride, has a peach of an engine and crash bars
The Fazer was too good to not buy.

[...]there’s 17 of us in the group and once there’s a discussion I’m totally lost as they all talk across each other. And some people talk to each other whilst the trainer is talking, which is not only bloody rude to the trainer, but also means I then can’t keep track of what she’s saying
I often use the Google 'Recorder' app on my phone (a Pixel, so it's native, but presumably available regardless) to record training, interviews, etc - it auto transcribes alongside the recording, which isn't perfect (and may be even more confusing in French?!), but worth a go?
I tend to use it so that when I zone out, I make a note of the timestamp, and go back and read/listen to it... (The re-listening helps to work out some of the random written translation too!)
Thanx for that lovely. TBF, I think I just need to concentrate! The first day was heavy on too much info. Yesterday wasn't so bad. So, hopefully!! LOL

Got back from my course yesterday early evening cos it's a bank holiday today.
Was back by about 6.30pm. Home, showered changed, fed (a little bit) and in my favourite bar by about 7.45 to meet a couple of mates! I'd primed one friend that I really NEEDED some fun downtime and RUM! But passed some other friends on the way back and they met me too. The first was knackered from work and when he realised I wouldn't be on my own, he didn't stay long! LOL But I still managed to have 4 rums

(Not the uk style shot sized versions!
Luckily felt fine this morning so I've had coffee, been to the ceremony that is usually to remember the RAF munitions drop but today was also in memory of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Tarentasie Valley. Always makes me a bit emotional!
I'm back at my favourite cafe for more coffee, a quick chat with the lightweight mate and some homework! Heading home soon as have to do some highway code tests in French and it's a bit loud around here (cos, Bank Holiday!)
Roll on tomorrow evening when I only have a weekend of homework and no actual classes!
Oh, and I made spring rolls for the freezer

Nice easy meal those are

Then he hotfoots it up to Oulton Park for practice tmrw. He's racing Saturday
He reckons on 2 hours sleep, max. After he's put the tent up at 5 in the morning

Raced the wife back down.
Caught and passed an Alpine, Porsche and a Skoda as well as a van
Wife got caught in traffic, I was back in the apartment with a beer by the time she rocked up.
14km to apartment, easy win

It was last night; I was sitting in a straw roofed bar, sipping a mojito. It was one of those warm balmy nights with no breeze at all. My linen clothing was clinging to my perspiring body but the single, wobbling, fan above me was gently blowing away my heat and cooling me. I felt like a character from a Hemingway novel. Apparently I just looked like a fat sweaty tourist…

I too, suffer with delusions of adequacy.
Anyway, was the 'Spoons busy in Billericay?

Good grub in there but my local Harvester always edges it with their free salad bar and Red Devil sauce?
