School assembly with Governor's awards. Then met with someone to discuss pause in their ordination process, and about to take a funeral for a choir member who was killed because of a car crash (drug addled driver smashed into her), and a Thanksgiving service for her in our church tonight at 6:30pm. I've had a very busy few days and am glad to be off tomorrow!
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

It's not surrounded by a red circle so it's only advisory.

Nice of them to match the colours to motorway signage too.

Had a lovely drive to Chelmsford to drop the step f-i-l off for his cataract operation. Looking forward to going to pick him up again. Sometimes I think i'll get rid of my car, but then I drive it and think nah, it stays!

Gave the F350 a detailing for this afternoons cruise-in over in Palmdirt. 8-)

Buffed out some minor paint damage on the left rear door.

Put all the "dog stuff" in the truck for today's outing, he travels with more stuff than I do...

Put a list together of everything needed for Monday's brake job on the SBH so once I start I don't have to keep going back in the garage for something I forgot. (assuming I didn't forget to put something on the list....)

Spiffy new SBH rotors:

I am home alone this evening, so I've just gone and bought myself a big ol' sirloin steak, the potato wedges are in the air fryer and the onions nicely browned. A poached egg will be placed on the cooked steak.

I'm currently finishing off the keg of Hawkstone lager in the PerfectDraft. It's going down very nicely.

Sat watching telly just now.

There's something scratting at the living room window.

We have a spiky bush thing that grows up the front of the house.

I assume it's a bird sat in the bush thing pecking at the window.

I pull the blinds back and I'm face to face with a grey squirrel.

Which is going ape shit because there's an Eddy cat sat at the bottom of the bush staring up at it.

I can't see the cat chasing the grey into the bush on the CCTV, I hope the fucker hasn't decided to move in.

I'd rather have squirrels than cats. The neighbor just got two new cats...they're in the process of being conditioned to stay the fuck off the property with a garden hose that has a nozzle that can knock them off the wall from 30ft away.

Think that is what my neighbour is going through or just about to. He was a skipper not long ago but the company went tits up and dragged there heels to send him information needed to move to another job. Time passed and he lost his ticket so doing it all again.

I'm doing it for fun! Got to question my sanity now, I've only got a few weeks to finish it....

Samurai museum in Kanazawa.

Lots of extremely vicious swords and other weapons but one thing I found fascinating was this.

A candle lamp, held by a handle at the back. The really interesting bit is that the candle is mounted on wires that act as a gyroscope. So that no matter the angle of the body of the lamp the candle is always vertical.

There are holes near the handle so it can even be stood on end and it will still burn.

Set out late this morning but took a different route to my coffee stop! The other side of the valley, so awesome views back this way :D Then met a friend in Bourg and rode up to the Cormet de Roselend (not officially open yet I don't think!! :1 :1 )

That second part was tough. He said "I'll take it really steady cos the roads are really narrow and twisty" (they are, it's challenge and the CBF is not the ideal bike to do those roads on!!). Well FFS, if that's his 'taking it steady' . . . . . . :o :o

Halfway back down we stopped to admire a view and he said - see you down there? was very happy with that as no way was I going to try and keep up with him!! LOL LOL

Now home and sitting with a warm thingy on my shoulder cos it's a smidge grumpy!! (Not the shoulder per se as there's nothing in there to hurt, but the bit between shoulder joint and my next is proper grumpy!! LOL)

Mind you, it made the ride back up here more interesting - much better at getting the bike around the hairpins coming up here, but they are almost twice as wide as the ones we did to the Cormet!!
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:

Moved spawn's unfitted kitchen back into the kitchen, cut a few hinge pockets on a replacement door and done a bit of tidying.
