I can't help but feel something is wrong with this picture

Don't try and convince me you could have a portable computer, the battery tech and available charging infrastructure would never support it.

Happily, I never lost it. In fact....I still have it.

Power outage in the village/villages

They built a football stadium half a mile from us last year. Mainly for kids.
I've walked past with the dog many times but taken no notice.
This week there's some sort of competition as first week of school holibobs.
I stopped to watch a game and was a bit gobsmacked. About 11/12 year old, but they could play a bit.
Obviously been watching Ronaldo and some of them had the tricks and twists and turns. But it worked and played well.
I watched for about 15 mins and really enjoyed it.

I remember school footy as a keeper and 10 centre forwards

This lot were better than any Sunday footy I saw in the parks in UK

Made some emergency tyre plugs for the mower out of some strimmer line as the front tyre had lost all pressure in @2 mins and then popped off the rim for good measure!

There’s a thing called a changeover switch. Very popular in the 70s during the miners strikes

Today I am mostly waiting in vain for a flight home from Berlin airport.

Just gonna move to a new and interesting piece of floor to sit on for a bit.

Just been to visit my ex neighbour. She is in a care home now. Very frail on her feet. 100 years old in September .

Most of her marbles are still there. Her older brother survived D day only to be shot dead 3 days later by a sniper

Here we are 80 years later....my Ferrari is better than your Ferrari . My Aston Martin is better than your Porsche

How about we all shove a tenner each month to the priest and keep your trap shut if you are loaded

FWR for an MOT - took ages to get there -loads of traffic all down the Highway and over Tower bridge -

Give it a while and he'd deffo have the best Ferrari.

Sump drain plug was in so tight I had to use the breaker on it!

The filter is a shitty job too as it's so close to the headers... That are at flesh melting temp because you've just warmed it up to get the oil out.

I survived being shot at by a sniper in Iraq, I actually dug the bullet out of the wall behind me and wore it (7.62mm round bent just like a banana) on a chain around my neck, but sadly I lost it one day.

The lord works in mysterious ways.
Try and be happy for people rather than all bent up and resentful, I'll still do whatever and I want and the world will be a happier place for you.

What am I supposed to say or do on hearing you’ve been shot at? I have several friends who have been in war zones from the falklands to Iraq and Afghanistan . Not one of them speaks about the time they were there.

Visited the Vampires at the Stab Lab.

Today I had a quieter one. Prayed in the church, walked the dog this morning, then off to take son to school after popping into Lidl to get him a sandwich, then off to "my school" to take the Eucharist service there. Back home to meet with a cleaner who we will employ to clean the vicarage (it is a bit too much for my wife and I as we both work full time). Then out for another meeting after posting a parcel for my daughter. Back home for a bagel and then out for funeral I was attending wearing my tartan clerical shirt as they asked for bright colours. Back home, play with dog, make coffee for my wife and then do some work on Sunday's sermon and a service to consecrate new sacred vessels (Paten, chalice and ciborium). Waiting to take dog out again for another walk and watering the lawn. Going to cook dinner later on.

I get home from the stab lab & it's still early. I have to swing by there again to drop off the pee cup. Roomie had mentioned she needs to buy a small rake for the flower beds.
Me: I have to drop off the pee cup, want to go with & hit Lowes?
Roomie: No, I have lunch plans with my friends from work

It was 8.15am... we'd have been back by 9am... Her lunch date is at noon.

Drove to Stornoway and back to collect a stationary engine with a mate.

Saw the physio, made some malt loaf and the dough for some baguettes. Chilled and chatted online with a couple of mates then headed to hte next village to meet a mate. Quite a few people I knew there and he dj arrived early - another mate that I hadn't seen for over a year and didn't expect to cos I thought he'd arrive late!

Been quite a nice day mostly cos it's been mostly sunny!

Alarm set for 5am though

(if it's clear skies in the morning, it'll be worth getting up that early for the photos I want to go get! )

Distraction is the key today - but the weather is shit so my heading to the top of a mountain for sunrise for a memory/celebration (only coffee cos would have been on a bike!) was cancelled

But, I distracted myself with making baguettes instead! Well, I started them yesterday evening, wholemeal this time and dammit they only bloody worked!!







I'm definitely going to try and get on that bread class one day! I'm loving this


Met a mate for coffee - she's having a really hard time, so didn't really talk much about life on my side!! But we had some laughs too, so all good


It's 8 years today since my riding buddy died and you know what, it's not any easier. It feels like forever since we used to hoon about like loons between Bristol and Abergavenny. I know it's worse this year because I miss his advice and riding with him to improve. You guys have been ace at helping me relearn biking, but I miss the guy that taught me so very much and helped me love bikes even more.






Gonna bury my head in MotoGp for the rest of the day I think, maybe even have a go at making croissants if I'm brave enough!! (Although I think that's an almost 24 jobbie like the baguettes!! LOL)


But - FUCK THIS WEATHER. I think we are all 'over it' up here - worst weather for the spring in bloody years
