Dawn of time I think. :? I wind the kids up about it my Nans name was Rosina and not the usual east end name of Rose. So I refer to her as Nonna Rosina and normally get this reaction

Or do the correct thing and get a man in.
Cut them to size, paint them, then stick 'em to the wall with No Nails, just like the pros do...
I've yet to find a long wall that is sufficiently straight enough just to bung it on with NMN. Little bits, yes, but a long run? Never.
NMN and a couple of strategic screws does the job. That, and liberal use of decorator's cauk once it's on.

As for painting them first. Nah. They come primed, but there's always fettling to be done, so get 'em nice then slap on the paint. I use 1mm shims as spacers which is sufficient to get a bit of paper under the skirting to protect the floor, plus it allows the engineered floor to expand and contract easily.

I've been in Veger de la Frontera, a fortified hill village in Spain.

Quite picturesque.

Dismantled a StudyBed ready for it to be collected tomorrow. Massive heavy PITA thing.

Great concept, but didn't work for us in practice.

Annual CFR refresher session.

Included quite a lot of 'how to stop people dying' and some 'when not to try'. That including one 'by that stage, nothing anyone can do'.

Ooh! That's another one to add to my 'I have never...' list. I've never been to a car boot sale. :D (Until recently I'd never been in a Pound Shop either but I insisted on entering the one in Gainsborough (sounds nice...isn't). Came out with a fair haul...none of which cost a pound or less.

Anyways, today I've been for a stroll in the sun. Luvverly out there. Now, it's round 2 of bench painting.

We have 'em here on bank holiday mondays only, always pop down for a pottle about in the sun for an hour or two, never buy anything more than a bacon cob.

Wandered around Southwold with the Mrs and our Border Terrorist.

Weather is surprisingly good, as was the sausage roll!

Rest of the week looks pretty dire :angry-cussingblack:

Got a NIP for doing 46 in a 40. Hoping I'll get to go on a naughty boy class instead of the points.

Poor obs, but when you're trying to tame the beast of a car that is the Toyota CH-R, it's kinda tough going...

Had a fraughtful journey.

Ferry G.C. to south Fuerteventura 2:00
2 hours

Ferry North Fuerteventura to lanzarote 6:00
Satnav say 1 hrs 38 mins drive between ports.

It'll be good

Ferry 15 mins late . 1 hrs 45 to Ferry depart.

Satnav says 1 hrs 38 driving

Gives me 7 mins spare.
In the car it'd be easier but with trailer was tight.
Constantly watching Satnav countdown
Then fuel gauge had it's occasional hiccup.
Dropped from 100k left, to empty.
Fark. Quick fill up.

Satnav hows arrival 6:00. Fark

Last 20 miles motorway so give it beans.
Last mile through the port town had about 10 speed humps. Not good with bike in trailer.

Arrived 5:59 and waved straight on.

Ferry left 6:02

Fark :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Had a comedy moment in the garage... Was working my way around the ST cleaning the glass with aerosol glass cleaner & the really spiffy glass cleaning cloths they sell at Horrible Fright (Grant brand). All was going well until I got to the drivers door where I failed to notice the window was open so ended up cleaning the seat & dashboard instead.

FFS...

Aha. I always wondered who owned that big runway.
I've crossed it a few times.

It's not big, it's tiny!

It was about 50ft long. But half mile wide.
