Gassed up the SBH... third time this year!
Dropped by the Vet to order med refill for the pupster
Ortho office to pick up xray order
Got xray'd at the other place & ordered refill for pain meds
AAA to pay for tags on the ZRX11. Used to be tags got cheaper as a vehicle got older. The cunts in charge of this mess changed that & today it cost me $200 for a year, was less than $100 when the bike was new 25 years ago.
Picked up dash cam manual from car audio biz

& some other errand that escapes me right now.

Road to cafe Amici in Sandy, via lots of small villages. Not sure I'd go there again. It's nestled right by the A1.

Anyway, the ride was good

I always seem to end up mowing the lawn of the parents-to-be.

Went in to work - unheard of for a Friday....

Last day of garden leave! That went fast

Woke up in Bermondsey after my London leaving drinks in the Wharf last night. Played London tourist for a change - strolling around the White Cube, Borough Market, along the river and over Tower Bridge in the glorious sunshine.

Met some mates/soon to be ex-colleagues at Fazenda in Bishopsgate. Ate excessive amounts of tasty tasty meat.

Stopped for dessert at Spitalfields Market, then headed home.

As Fridays go, I've had worse

Got 'chased' along the N90 on the way to Bourg earlier!! I really was going to do the speed limit (which is ridiculous at 50mph ) but just as I pulled onto the N90, a big Ford Ranger type truck thing came into view behind and really wasn't doing 80kmph

Well, as you can imagine, I wasn't being overtaken by truck

But this meant that I got to do my favourite set of bends on a mostly empty road (basically just me and the Ranger thingy) a bit quicker than normal and damn it was FUN!!!

That was the MOST fun I've had so far (ok, it's only 2 weeks ish of biking!!). I am very very smiley happy now


And, I even feel pretty damn happy with the state of the chicken strips

Finally got some time and put the roof felt and finales on my new shed. Will hang the doors tomorrow and then it finished. Well then i've got to get a kitchen base unit and workbench and shelving and the its finished!

Had a stroll round some of the local open gardens up on the hill above the village. One place wasn't so much the garden just the scale of it, although Gertude Jekyll designed some of it (then died). The house wouldn't look out of place in Provence although Wikipedia says it's Spanish influenced. Views out over to the Sarf Dahn's and the sea...about 30 miles away.

The faux moto gp riders were out in force today. That's assuming a panigale or similar superbike piloted by an overweight leather clad person could be considered as anything close to a professional rider. Don't get me wrong; I was treated to some beautiful bikes to look at, just wish some people would think before hooning it through the village, rev limiter kicking in, with a hand resting on the tank for added effect.

Oh,and the cafe was closed

Cleared and cleaned my home office desk. Set up new 27 inch monitor that new work have sent me.
Wonder if they'll send me another one so I don't have one 27" and one 24"?

Poked the embers of last night's bonfire and put on a couple of bits of branch that we'd missed in the dark

Spring cleaned the kitchen, and changed a cupboard door hinge (on which the original soft-close had packed in).

Rewarded myself with a joyous mojo-heavy spin out on the bike, collecting the majority of South Staffordshire and Shropshire's flying insects, judging by the state of my visor and jacket

Not today, but yesterday. A proper full on multiagency callout. And very conveniently the starting point for the walk out was the track by my house. Job done and back home for tea and biscuits, quite literally.

Went for a ride in the sunshine. Little slow twisty roads, fast twisty one, duals, city centres, and Dartmoor. Let's not forget Dartmoor.

I've done LOADS of sorting out of paperwork. Then crashed on what is supposed to be a sofa!! (Spent too much time on here, I think the fact that the tops of the 'boxes' aren't level is finally making itself known )

I have a couple of big bags, a couple of full boxes and a load of empty boxes to take to the garage I use soon - ran out of oomf today! LOL LOL

Hoping for sunshine tomorrow afternoon so I can pop out to pick something up in the valley and also have a little bit of a bimble around first

Woke up at 4.30. Couldn't get back to sleep, not helped by the blackbirds giving it the 'Waahaay, brand new day! Brilliant!' chorus outside the bedroom window.

Got up, made a brew and went and joined them in the garden.

(Off to a sculpture exhibition later. Might have an early night. ).

Had an interview for the role that I currently cover as a contractor - jury is still out whether I'll take it or not, but after some strong negotiation they have significantly upped the salary plus with the other bits and bobs the numbers get closer.

The wife has just been offered a job, yay!

She got fucked off with her current job so I told her to jack it in.

She's been working her three months notice and officially finishes on the 7th June. New job starts the 17th.
