Logic would say you are correct, but somehow Jason Mimosa pulls it off

Greatest Days - crap film with a fake Take That band - Utter tosh, only watched because the wife was fed up and needed cheering.
Only redeeming feature was Aisling Bea starred - got quite a thing for her

I started to watch that about a month ago and gave up.
Could sort of tell it would just be a chasing film.
Perhaps I was wrong.

I've just watched (ok, mostly listened to, I was sorting stuff and paperwork out!) Chicago.

HTF I never saw this I do not know. I love musicals in general and now I am going to be looking to see if they do a stage version in English of this over here!!

And, damn, Bridget Jones as Roxie is awesome - those legs in the final dance!! :o :o :o

TBF, I probably missed it cos no one I know likes this stuff and whilst I will go to the cinema alone, I rarely actually sit and watch a film at home- I'm usually doing various other stuff whilst the film is on (like today!!)

But DAYUM - bloody loved it. So many faces I thought I knew but wasn't sure and by the end I'd worked out Renée Zellweger but not Catherine Zeta-Jones!!

WOW!!! :obscene-drinkingcheers: :obscene-drinkingcheers: :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

Currently watching The Midnight Sky - George Clooney.

Fucking hell. How boring?? I'm pretty sure they don't really explain the start of the film. Then it kinda meanders a bit. Then someone dies.

I'm close to the end so feel like I shouldn't quit now but I've stopped actually watching and am just listening to hear how they finish it!!

Reviews suggest its a bit marmite!!!

Watched two other films over the day (you can tell the weather is still shit!) -

Middle one was a beat em up kind of film, Trigger Warning, but the girl was the hero (and doing most of the beating up) Not bad, probably no oscars, but very watchable!

The first, Random Hearts, well that was a surprise!! A story about adultery - sort of. Biggest surprise was that Harrison Ford is still seriously hot!! And the film was hot more because of what it didn't show (probably PG but even so, hints!!). Maybe I shouldn't write off older men - although I've not seen any remotely like Harrison Ford up here!!

It's a cheese fest of cheesyness, but it uses a bangin' predominantly AC/DC sound track, bloody excellent, about time battleship 2 was made.
Sadly the US can't make another battleship as they've lost the art of building the armour required.

I watched "Code Red: The Rubicon Conspiracy" on 'Great Movies' this morning.

It's a straight to video rip off of Predator, Aliens and Split Second, done with no budget.

Wasn't the worst film I've seen.

I struggle to choose films to watch. I don't exactly "watch" movies. I have some sort of 'tv' on all the time, but that's just for noise.

I LOVE going to the cinema, and don't mind going on my own, but here I have to pick the ones in English and often don't actually know whats coming out - or, just not particularly interested

Nowadays there seem to be an awful lot of remakes and I just don't understand that. Ok, I guess it kinda makes sense to have a movie from the 80's/90's remade in modern times for the current generations, but I'm not bothered about seeing them, especially if it's one I really liked!! (Although I enjoyed the new Total Recall the other week - but then I don't think I saw the original, and if I did I don't remember it!! LOL)

Then the other issue I have with things like Netflix is, you get an actor you quite like and then realise he just plays the same guy in every film, which really does become background noise (even when it's Liam Neeson!! )

I don't do horror, well, definitely not alone and sc-fi is a bit hit and miss as, I don't do horror and it often ends up that way.

And even for an old romantic, there's only so many rom coms a single girl can watch before getting the icecream and big pants out and turning into a miserable Bridget Jones

I do like action movies but they do generally merge into one big sameoldsameold!!

On series, I do sometimes find one I really like but then by the 4th/5th season they are really struggling and it just get less and less watchable/believable. I've stopped quite a few after season 3 or 4. I do quite like the ones that run for 'x' seasons and then finish. Kinda quit whilst your ahead !! (Although even then sometimes it should have been a couple of seasons before!! LOL)

I did usually prefer to have music going at home, but for some reason here, I don't seem have got into the habit - must try harder

Finally got round to watching Dune 2. Not bad at all. Hope they carry on with the Children of Dune stuff (the TV series was ok--ish, but a bit low budget/light on special effects but the effects have gone up a few notches since then).
