The yellow speed block colourway looks lovely. That one was my other consideration before buying the MT09.

Not the last time, but the next time. Going to ride up to Hunstanton again. Last time was on th Tuono, this time going on the Le Mans. Got Monday off as leave(got to use my holidays some how). Wife is at work, so a nice little 230 mile/6hr ride. Doing a similar route to last time tweaked a bit to miss out the boring bits from last time (mostly on the way back). Got it programmed into the satnav and a bag on the back for a drink and a sandwich. Should be there just before lunch.

Went up to Aylesbury Ducati (on yer bike) yesterday with 3 mates. It should have been with 4 mates but one of the guys "broke down" He thought his Ducati Monster had blown the motor but from what he was describing, I texted him and asked him to check the receipt from the garage where it started Smoking and stopped. Yep, the fuckwit had filled it up with Diesel!

Anyway, On yer Bike was really busy and Demo bikes were coming in and out constantly. The Ducati Supersport S keeps catching my eye. Might be the next bike but I'm really loving the Monster 1200 so not yet!
I had a sit on a Honda Africa Twin it had a low seat on it and I could reach the floor easily on it and it felt much lighter than its weight, especially compared to the Multstrada I'd sat on to try and convince myself my legs were indeed long enough - I could handle the Ducati on an even, flat surface but loaded up with luggage on a negative camber its a no go. Still, and Africa twin is deffo an option for an Adventure bike.

it was a good 150 mile ride and finished off with a little play with a Lotus Exige on a really nice stretch of wide sweeping A road. Ducati 1 Lotus 0 :)

As mentioned above, went to Hunstanton again on Monday, for the last time (on the route I did going). Solid with cars from Kings Lynn to the seas front all doing about 40mph and queing into every roundabout. 230 mile round trip and just short of 6 hrs, my arse was in tatters for the last 2 hrs as were my wrists.
So far I've done 925 miles on the Le Mans this year at an average of 37.7mpg (I take a photo of the speedo and petrol pump at every fill up). Normally I use Shell Vmax in all my bikes as much as possible, but on my previous trip out to Southwold I had to fill up with CoOp fuel. Looking at my spreadsheet I got 34.47mpg on the 108 miles back from Southwold. On my trip up to Hunstanton using Vmax I did 127 miles at 40.12mpg before filling up again at Fakenham with Vmax again.
Don't think the extra cost covers the extra mpg but the bike runs better and I know the better fuels clean the carbs and engine. I started using the more expensive fuels after several fill ups using BP Ultimate sorted the starting problems on my DT17MX.

Several bikes at the front in Hunstaton and including several classics CB400, CB750 old British stuff. Reckon I was the yougest bike riding bloke there.

Gave the bike a wash when I got home to get the flies off, also need to investigate the oil vapout leak from the bevel box which was covering the lower half of the case.
Visor needed a good clean as well. Hit a butterfly right in front of my left eye. Made a hell of a yellow mess which I had to soften with two wet kitchen towels before I could wipe off.

Great fun as well, they’re basically a KTM Duke 390 in a retro dress, and the same rules apply.
They are starting to get a bit more of a following now, especially since Husqvarna revised the pricing.

I've been commuting for two weeks now, avoiding the Plague Train.

I've had to fill up twice.

Both times at 170 miles, not long after the light came on and I've put in £15 (14l)

So that's 55mpg... and I've been commuting like a proper proper twat.

The specs say it's got a 21l tank, so the light comes on with 7l left!

In theory I could push it to almost 250 miles!

I had a Honda NC700X, that would do 63mpg (albeit on a different commute). The Guzzi is lighter, handles better and has a fuck ton more character, I'm happy to sacrifice 8mpg.

I do love my little V7, if the wife ever gets a job I might treat it to some loud pipes!

As the Multistrada needs new tyres and the little Fazer has been running a bit rough at 7000 revs till it clears its throat and gets going again i took it out for a spin this afternoon.

Bit of an "Italian Tune Up" ride as it spends most of its time bimbling about at 30 mph behind CBT students . A hour of thrashing the arse off it along some fast back roads and the hesitancy seems to have cleared itself almost completely but there is still a little burble as it goes through 7000 revs but pulls clean from 0 to there then screams to 11,500 pulling a lot harder about the 7500

Quite enjoyed it chucking it about a lot more than usual but realised the rear shock needs a bit more compression dialled in as a fast flick pushing on the footpegs had it a tad wobbly but nothing too drastic. The same manoeuvre on the Ducati its rock solid..... difference between 20 year old 800 quid bike and 4 year old 10 grand bike with semi active suspension

I rode to work today. It's 4 miles of twisty B road that I know well, and 6 miles of dual carriageway.

I wore work trousers, a t-shirt, boots, gloves and an open face lid and I didn't die :)
