Holland is an area of the Netherlands, which happens to contain Amsterdam and the Hague, iirc.

Hopefully started to sort my life out in a more positive manner. Big decisions made, help requested, now to see if it will all work out this time and isn't another oncoming train!!!

Went for a trip on this. Very civilised. Cake and tea on board. It's all v modern - the boat's electric (built that way, not a conversion, I think). Quite a relaxing way to travel...if you aren't in a hurry.

Yup. Like with roads.

Rather more roads than canals. Try going to Cornwall by canal, from anywhere.

I don't fancy the journey to Cornwall by road much either! Probably best by sea - if they've stop swinging lanterns on the shore at night.

I wonder why they didn't cut many canals on the long, thin peninsular.
Ocean going voyages somewhat more fraught than a 4mph bimble to the pub though.

They banned swinging of lanterns years ago, we tie the lantern to the tail of a donkey and let it wander about the cliffs.

Got the GS mot'd today. Been thinking of selling this, but when I ride it, I'm glad I didn't, such a comfortable, versatile bike, so it's staying. Few months back was thinking of selling the MT, but again, once I ride it I'm glad it didn't sell.
So the GS, MT and the mighty Enfield are staying as part of the family, for ever.

Coffee. Pretty much always coffee now - they can't make decent tea here

And I've got so used to coffee that I rarely drink tea at home
I've changed SO much

Ripped up some sticky backed floor tiles... that were stuck on top of some stick back floor tiles. The bottom layer have been down since 2001 when the house was built.
I'm fucked, utterly, totally fucked.
Just my luck I'll win the jackpot on the euros tonight making todays hardwork pointless.

Rented a van and emptied out our lockup we’ve had for 21 years ….
Found the progressive springs for my old Bros 650 - god knows why I’ve kept them .
Went to the tip ….saw loads of scooters in Limehouse with cameras on for the marathon tomorrow.
May go to the boozer tonight
