FFS! No wonder people have lost faith in the police! HTF did that get to court considering all the shoplifting, ASB, phone theft, etc.

It doesn't matter if it's shop lifiting, theft or tooting a horn, they are all equal when it comes to bragging about the number of crimes solved.
We haven't heard the other side, he might have been a really awkward twat distracting drivers and putting people in danger, I'll go with they are both twats and one has too much power.

It was his fault it went to court.

Court documents also show that Spence, from Chelmsford, was offered the chance to settle the case out of court, but did not respond to a police offer to pay a fixed penalty fine.

Seven shipping containers filled with fuel and waste have been spotted on an iceberg floating off the Antarctic coast.

The containers had originally been positioned on an ice shelf before a week-long blizzard caused a large section to break off into the sea.

Baloney, the post office is so far behind it wouldn't be a surprise to see the offer still sitting in a sorting bin back at the depot.

I don’t blame him either way. Highlight the stupid, officious, waste of the whole criminal justice system! For me it beggars belief that got that far.

Update on the chemical tank:

The options are:
1, The tank fails & spills 7000 gallons of nasty shit (methyl methacrylate)
2, It explodes & takes out the two other tanks & christ knows what else. 40,000 people have been evacuated, 15% of the people in the area said "bugger off, we're staying"

They can't drain it as the valve is fucked.

They've now been spraying it with water to cool it down for two days.. & just now mentioned that the temp inside the tank is increasing by 1deg/hour.. so option #2 is looking likely unless someone comes up with a third option.

The best bit is...

the Supreme Court ruled that the State does not have the competence

Need more of that here in Eingerland.

Surely "over here" is redundant.

Couldn't work out where to put this one but it was in a freebie local magazine that landed today so, it's news to me.

In the 'what's occurring?' bit:

'South West Surrey Domestic Abuse Champions are looking for Domestic Abuse Champions in local businesses'.

If ever an organisation needed to have a hard think about their name and terminology..... Are they looking to form a competitive league? 🏆

Scrolling through my Google News feed and the first picture made me laugh. The second picture is of my 2009 Street Triple RS which was stolen in 2011.
