Liking the Supertrapp, can’t really get anything worse than the original.Horse wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 9:14 am https://www.lorddrakekustoms.com/bmw-k1 ... afe-racer/

These naked k’s look good for a pose around which I spose is the whole point but taking the fairing off makes them awful to ride above 50.

Wasn't there a race series for those big Zeds in Japan a couple of decades ago?

It is possible. Particularly when the painted steel rusts at a fixing point, then vibrates at certain revs - making a noise like an angry cat

I like a bike that sings to you, the glove boxes makes a nice tune too.

Would it be cycnical to suggest that that could be because they're very modular in construction, with a self contained motor&drive unit that is very easy to fit custom bits onto?
The flying brick was used by Arnold Wagner for the Ecomobile for precisely that reason.

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
When I had my K there was a thing about frame "harmonics"! The idea was you undid all major bolts and if there was a gap between the frame and engine, you shimmed it with a washer or two. I think I did it and I think it worked. Probably didn't though?
