Fair enough - I won't (new bike an' all). But I'll be looking for anything and everything that it might work on.

I don't really understand the warning about stainless surfaces. In my experience stainless is one of the most resistant surfaces to cleaning marks and also to chemicals of varying levels of aggressiveness.

It's why it's called stainless, innit?

I guess you can still scratch/texture it. I suspect they mean large surfaces like stainless drainers. All it says is:

Please note: not recommended for use on wood, vehicle paintwork, or stainless steel surfaces.

One the subject of cleaning, I recently bought a little steam wand cleaner (don't search for that BTW, you find stuff for cleaning your coffee machine :D ).

Tis great for a few jobs, utterly overkill for most . Worth it for those few though.

We bought one of them Ninja dual pan things a few months ago and it gets used a lot.

So much so that the only time the cooker oven gets used is if there’s a casserole being done.

They get hyped a lot but one of those things that actually do what it says on the tin.

I was gifted one by my Mum, she bought the aforementioned dual Ninja jobby and cast her old one off to me. I was reluctant to use it at first, but I do have to admit - it makes good chips! I use it all the time now 'just 'cause it's cheaper to run. It's a simple equation: Does it fit in the air frier? If the answer is "yes", it's getting air fried.

Pleasing purchase wise though, I've just replaced the 12 year old laptop bag I had (which came free with my laptop at my old, old, old job) with a proper piece of hipster BS. I was this close to buying a Barbour waxed cotton satchel when I saw this pop up.

I have the Barbour variant sat in front of me right now - had it for about 7 years now and noticed it needs changing, my laptop has worn holes in both corners.
What did the Osprey cost if you don't mind me asking?, worthy replacement for my Barbour one by the looks of it.

£145.

The price is bollox though I reckon. It's on their own website as £300something knocked down to £145. It's also on a couple of 3rd parties at just £145, so it seems £145 is the actual price!

I read some reviews which said the bags are good but their website/customer service is terrible. So I bought it from Next instead :D

Seems pretty good. It's "proper" leather throughout, double layers on the bottom. Should take you a while to rub holes in it.

Sounds a decent price to be fair....

It's the wax cotton part of mine that's worn through

It took me 12 years to break my old bag...I also only go into the office one day a week now, so I'm probably looking at about 60 years to break this one :D

Barbour used to offer a refurb service, probably cheaper to spend the £145 on a new one though.

Probably right!
Reminds me that my jacket needs to go back for re-waxing, leaks like a sieve now after 11 years!

I have an Eastpak satchel that I got in Next 5 or 6 years ago. It takes a laptop, expands to 15 litres apparently (I haven't tested that although I often stick loads of shopping in it) and has a 25 year warranty I believe. £27.

A few years ago I bought a really nice Samsonite back pack which is great for gadgets, it has a laptop pouch, tablet pouch and all sorts of other pockets for cool stuff.
