Funny afternoon today.

The wife is having a few bending issues so with Silverstone on Tues in mind she tested the zx6 today, shortly after returning I sent her out on the XSR to see if the leg position helped her.

She came back shaking her head, really really didn't like it, not one bit.

Well at least that's conclusive!

Did she sum up the detail of what she disliked, rather than a general 'nah'?

Given time and money,I suppose all those issues could be addressed, but it sounds like the will to do that is absent.

She'll be hard to shift from the ZX6R and really if it's for track use only,a sportsbike is the thing to have anyway.

Absolutely mate. It was just a quick experiment really. If the riding position becomes an issue I don't think a sit up bike is her answer though.

I had a bit of a wobble today... I spoke to Tricky about his new purchase and deal and it really was an incredible deal he got. "Oh they've got 2" says he and within minutes i'd got all excitable and spoke to the dealer about buying one. I'm sure between you, you can all work out what it is.

I think spoke to Couchie to get some sanity.. I think it went something like "don't be a dick, you love the XSR" and you know what, he's right.

Whilst in some ways it's a bit of a big old thing and a little heavier than i'd like i really do love it.

So i did what's logical under the circumstances and took the XSR out for a quick blast as i needed to run an errand.

Once again, the answer in simple terms is YES, i do love it... it's a bloody wonderful thing. OK, so on track it's not quite as light and the blipper that doesn't exist on it is a slight 'meh' as i'd quite like the blipper lol. But other than that it's just the perfect 'do everything' bike for me.

I'm with Couchy on that- I reckon you'd end up disliking it, or at least not liking it as much as the XSR, and chopping it in within weeks

That poor old XSR is akin to a woman married to a millionaire with a roving eye.

Sooner or later....

Keep the XSR as a 'forever' bike and buy another more...rotatable/short stay jobbie.

Cake and eat it.

I don't have space or desire for a 2nd bike in honesty.... I have enough issues getting time to ride 1, let alone adding in another motorbike.

It's kinda like a Mormon pretending to be monogamous. It only leads to cheating or furious wanking in the shower.

If any 2nd bike is coming in in the next 12 months it's a DH bike for the boy.

The way he keeps the gear lever pressed on downchanges,is that necessary for the blipper to activate?
