I like hats. I have friends who wear them. They look stylish, rakish and elegantly cool. Yet I put one on and I look like one of the special kids out for a day trip licking the bus windows.

I have a passing acquaintance with the local God-botherer in my local high street. Nice fella actually, and who has a selection of fine titfers, including Panamas, Fedoras, flat caps and all sorts. Never without one.

Used to go there every year to get a hat for my Dad for Christmas. It was a lovely place.

My current big island hat is a Bates Berkeley, previous to that it was a Lock & Co rollable Trilby. The latter was more convenient but lost shape quite easily.

Small island headwear is is a rollable necktube buff type thing, mostly to keep the weather off.

Just bought a champion 2200w generator for track days and other stuff to replace the big Briggs and Stratton. Very pleased with it. Weighs half as much, takes up less room and much quieter.

Paid 550 which I thought was pretty good and got more than I paid for the old generator on eBay.

Bigger and beefier than ours. Ours seems to do ok at 2 warmers but anything else would kill it.

I didn't want anything that was running at its limit, I mainly wanted something that didn't weight 50Kg any more

My last generator was 1000w. Lucky if it could run a string of lights. Made bought it to use an angle grinder when he was doing kerbside motors. The power surge tripped it every time. I took it to the tip and cant decide if i want one or not for the camperbus.

I've been looking at those compact generators recently as 2.2kw will do me nicely for a number of situations. Plenty available here including Aksa who are the generators of choice locally but they are twice the price of a regular 2kw generator (like your old one). I appreciate that they're more compact, lighter and easily moved around but I'm reluctant to pay twice as much.
