My normal station is Capital, or Kiss as when I dropped my daughter at school, or train station when she started work, the first thing she did when getting into the car was change the station anyway. The first 3 presets on all our cars are always set the same and my kids do it in their cars too now. 1. Kiss. 2. Capital. 3. Heart Essex. Mine are followed by 4. Radio 1. 5. Smooth UK and 6. Magic!

Sadly my new car has really shite DAB reception or I'd probably be listening to LBC (except when James O'Brien is on) or 5 Live.

I like the radio 2 chat with a few songs and a quiz. Radio quizes are definitely for the over 55s, it's in the rules. In the summer I was listening to Gold a lot whilst chilling in the garden with a summer cider and a bbq.
Today, indoor tea and a trip to screwfix.

I mostly listen to planet rock, it's certainly the only thing I have on in the car.
I still like ABBA though, they (well, it's mostly one of them doing it) certainly know how to pen a tune.

Night driving. Dropped my Step Dad home just before midnight, then spend the next 50 minutes driving around listening to music. Something very relaxing about driving on empty dark roads...
I used to do that when I got my first bike - but on the bike, and with no music!! LOL I used to finish work a bit after midnight and head for home, which was 10 mins away, max. Usually got back about 2 or 3 hours later on a clear night. Riding on the mendips on a clear night was just awesome!

You know you're getting old when your favourite bike forum recommends Radio2 and Smooth
Ain't that the truth. It's an old man's game
When are you gonna create a bowling forum? And dominoes and cribbage ?
Oi - I learnt Cribbage when I was a youngster (ok, 20!!). Don't play any more cos no one knows how!!
But, I think I'm wayyyyyyy younger than most of you!! (In my head at least!). I like a couple o R2 shows but never Smooth. I would like R4 in the mornings if they knew how to actually interview instead of shout.

I was 17. Worked underage nightshift for Safeways in Davidsons Mains Edinburgh and it was all the guys would play on the lunch hour so had to learn. Cant remember how to play it now though. Same with Backgammon what is a shame as i was good at that.

Cooking. More than just cooking. Cooking for other people!
Ok, it's takeaway as they aren't here. But I do so enjoy cooking for other people and very much less so for myself!
Now to get permission from the boss to deliver on my way to the pick up this afternoon!!
Gonna head down fairly soon as, 1 - I want to clean the inside of the van using their products & 2 - I'll have a better idea of the roads and so how much time it'll take me to get to the pick up point!! Full on snowing

For me it's being cooked for, I'm not a good cook at all and as I've got covid I don't have much enthusiasm either !
So when a friend says she driving not too far from me and gonna drop me off a homemade Chinese takeaway it raised my mood somewhat
Thanks Noggers

When I lived (or a near assimilation of lived) in Wolverhampton, and had my first bike (YAS125 Ym twin) I would loon about for hours after dropping my G?F back home (used to do similar on foot a few years before in Edgbaston)....one night I came across a kitten in the road that was dying after being hit by a car...the bike was not heavy enough to finish it off and I sat with it till it was over...that will stick with me.
But yeah.....toons and any form of individual mobility is kind of cool....though as a maudlin old sod I have been known to listen to Joni's River till I have to stop 'cos i can't see for the tears.

Save the crispy beef for when you don't need your mood lifting!!! Ok, I didn't have the sauce, but I think the crispy beef itself was killed again by me!! LOL (Just tried some!!)
Glad you liked it!
