That's "she" tidied up, and "you" put in a safe place. Same result.

F******* HP Smart Printers and HP Instant Ink. Scamming b*******!

I cancelled my subscription and now my printer app tells me that I can't use the remainder of the cartridges. I only cancelled my subscription because the print quality is so bad and I use most of my paper and ink cleaning and aligning the printer heads. HP charged me for going over my quota when most of my quota went in the bin.

Welcome to the enshittification of everything.

If you don't need colour, get a small laser printer, much, much more reliable than ink jets.

My Canon tank printer appears to need a new print head.

They don't sell replacement print heads for it.

Haven't even used a tank of ink to the point where the tank needed topping up yet. Hey ho, it still prints black so it'll do for now and I'll use the missus's cartridge printer if it must be a colour print.

I was similarly :angry-cussingblack: when a cartridge printer failed and we had £60's worth of unused cartridges that wouldn't fit any newer printers.

I didn't know people still had home printers. I use the one at work or go to Max Spielmann at Tesco.

Work? :D

[OK, I'll be honest, I do have access to a 'work' printer. But I've not been in for four months and it's a two-hour round trip]

Costco. What a soul-destroying place. It's probably worth the price of the annual fees in terms of money saved on fuel, but the store itself is just a super-sized temple to Mammon. And don't get me started on the trolleys that are the size of an SUV. No option for a normal or small sized trolley, just the metal monsters that people use as battering rams.

Gah.

I never knew tubes of mastic had sell-by dates :(

A while ago the stuff I use most was half price so I bought 5.

Went to use one tube of white stuff today. Nada. Totally solid. Same with all others :(

Thankfully the tube of clear goo was still OK.

No more bargain hunting for this careful Yorkshireman :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Advert for a double bed, mattress and headboard clearly states ‘Collection only’

Fucktards!

Yup, every time. I put some tyres on there and the first line of the advert said, Please note, these are for collection only. The last line said, Again please note these are for collection only. I must have had 20 enquiries saying can you not post if i pay postage etc. Took them down the tip in the end...

Ya ever own a money pit?

Some years ago I purchased an older bucket truck. It's a 2001 Chevy C3500. I got it for gutter maintenance and tree work. I absolutely hate going up and down ladders.

First disaster was fried brakes on the front axle. Took it to a mechanic to be gone through. The front end was installed by the company that installs the lift. He had a time tracking down parts.

Not long after the damn thing started doing interesting shit, like not running when the fuel gauge showed the tanks were half full. The shit that is supposed to transfer fuel from one tank to the other isn't working. To top it off, you cannot siphon the fuel out of the tank without doing surgery on the fucker.

Next up, the cylinder that keeps the bucket level took a dump. That was cheap but it took a while to find a local outfit that would rebuild it.

Yesterday, the generator spat out a bearing. I poked around, it looks like a load of shit is going to have to be dismantled to replace the bearing.

Piss has been fully boiled off.

Fucking Plymouth. I know exactly where it was.

Sped up to beat a red light, forgetting Waze had literally just told me it was a red light/speed camera combo. 😭

I hope you can do the course and not get the points.

I'm currently on 3 points for doing 35 in a 30. It was well out of town, heading towards town, just after the change from national speed limit to 30mph and still pretty rural. That said, 100% my fault.

Round my mum's for lunch. She's relating a news story she's read about a girl getting raped.

Step-dad pipes up with, 'Well, some of the clothes these young girls wear...'

:wtf:

Made the conversation around around the dinner table a little tense as I called him out on that one followed by his frantic back tracking. Apparently I misunderstood what he meant.

Dickhead.

I find using my adaptive cruise control set to the speed limit 99% of the time helps me not break the law :)
