I've got sprinkles. Now I know why I bought them

Never refuse a piece of cake. I did once, many years ago, & the regret still haunts mePotter wrote: Mon Nov 20, 2023 6:40 pm Turned out I had a choice and I went with proper homemade school cake with icing on t'top and custard.

I've got a very static Mantis on the deck at the moment. There's a very alive one on the other side of the patio furniture and I'm sure the dead one wasn't there until I started pissing about with mountain bike wheels so I assume I killed it. I like to watch the Mantis so I'm a bit gutted.ZRX61 wrote: Mon Nov 20, 2023 9:51 pm Finally got a pic of a hummer... unfortunately it was brown bread on the patio this morning...

Whenever I'm out with somebody and they turn down a dessert with some excuse about watching their weight, I always remind them of those ladies on the Titanic who saw the the dessert trolley go past and said, 'Oooh...better not, eh?'.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Being a ponce, I have an espresso cup at work.
Being even poncier, I like to froth a bit of milk using the steam wand on the coffee machine to make a macchiato.
I let the steam wand run for a second before lifting the milk to it, and out shot a squirt of water right onto the groin of my light-coloured trousers.
I now look like a ponce who has pissed himself.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Tis a strange word, as it has two very different meanings:
noun
1.
DEROGATORY•INFORMAL
a pretentious, affected, or effete man.
2.
INFORMAL•BRITISH
a man who lives off a prostitute's earnings.
verb
1.
INFORMAL•BRITISH
seek to obtain (something) without paying for it or doing anything in return.
"I ponced a ciggie off her"
2.
INFORMAL•BRITISH
live off a prostitute's earnings.
"he was arrested for poncing on the girl"
I use the term as per the first noun.

Seeing as it's stopped raining for a second day I rode the 'Gravel bike'to Formby point.Lovely autumn day,you can see Wales in the distance I avoid the place at weekends or school holidays, but for me,days like today when it's quiet are really enjoyable.

Still lots of puddles & flooded fields but If the roads keep drying I'll be out on the SV tomorrow

(Are these recent pics taken using a phone camera or a 'proper' one?).
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

It's an old Samsung Galaxy,I've got Nikon DSLR's & proper lens's,but I can't remember when I last used them.I keep thinking about selling all my camera gear, but I guarantee I'll get back into proper photography again just after I've sold everything!Count Steer wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2023 3:19 pm
