Getting sick of walking the dogs in the pissing rain and mud. Even they are getting depressed by the conditions.
Also, phone call from Mrs M this morning, she'd got in the car to go to a meeting, it'd alarmed about a tyre being low pressure and rather than coming and getting me decided her meeting was more important and drove off with 12psi in the nearside rear. I then get a phone call when she gets to the meeting telling me all this , she did stop on the way to top it up but apparently the tyre hasn't healed and it's still going down......... Is it safe to drive she asks?
We have a full size spare at home that I could've fitted in 10 minutes.

North Berwick, that reminds me of an incident on the railway from the mid 90's. Berwick (Sussex) signaller got disturbed at about 0100 on a Saturday morning by a contractor from Signal Control UK, he was there for the re-signalling project. After a bit of phoning around we found out he was at the wrong Berwick........

Berwick upon Tweed has a Haven Holiday park. I had a guy ask me directions as he can only find our Tantallon Caravan Park. He managed to drive round Berwick upon Tweed and not notice and must be a good 45 miles further north. TBF he was laughing at himself when i told him his mistake.

Well that’ll be a new tyre then.
Topped off by neighbours visitor trying to have a pop at me whilst I’m changing the car tyre in the pissing rain after Mrs M had told her not to park where she had as she was obstructing our drive. Her opening line was my wife should learn to drive so you can imagine how well that went down and how the conversation ended.

Donnington Castle (destroyed in the civil war) is near here.
Not unknown for disappointed travellers to be hunting for the circuit ...

Cowboy T&Cs where they have me over a barrel.
This bit looked good so far:
5 SHARING AND DISCLOSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Other than as expressly set out in this Notice or as otherwise required or permitted by law, we will not share, sell or distribute any of your personal information without your consent.
But expressly set out just past that is they will share my details with:
our third party advertising partners to advertise products to you on third party sites which are tailored to meet your preferences and likely interests;
Consent is assumed and it tells me I can later on opt out of paper marketing but not electronic. So in the few seconds between setting the account up and opting out of marketing they have sold my personal details to any company that will give them any tiny amount of money.
I'm over a barrel as it's for my son's uni digs, usually i'd tell a company like this to shove it but here I don't get to choose. I also have to accept an NDA and it makes me worry about just how bad they are.

Amused and annoyed, but balanced towards the former.
From my power supplier:
Dear Hoss,
Our records show that someone at your home is of pensionable age. Anyone over 65 can join our free Priority Services Register (PSR), which gives you extra support designed to make your life easier.
Some of the benefits of being on the PSR:
Nominate someone to manage your account – You can appoint a trusted person to receive statements or manage your account
Get help with reading your statements or understanding your bills
Perhaps in a few years ...

I'm about to throw these new hearing aids in the fucking trash. If I adjust the right one to hear conversation I'm deafened by the fucking computer keyboard, my footsteps, chewing food & EVERYTHING else (including traffic while driving or just walking along a road).
If I adjust the goddamn thing to filter out all that crap then I can't hear conversation.
The left one appears to be defective as the volume stays the same no matter how much I adjust it up or down..
Absolutely fucking goddamn useless doesn't come close to how boiled my piss is.
On the upside, being deafened by the mere act of eating has seen me drop 4lb this week.

Found part (all?) of the issue with these fucking deaf aids.. They have AI that CONSTANTLY adjusts the feed volume depending the situation. That just boils my fucking piss even more.
I've gone back to wearing the old one in my left ear & the situation is much improved.
Another absolute fucking pisser with the new ones is the length of the wire between the part that goes behind my ear & the bit that goes in my ear. Goddamn thing is about 1/2in too short so it's trying to saw the top of my fucking ear in half.

Visiting the specialist for a review.
Doing really well, responding well to the drug regime. Originally told it might take 6 months for it to take effect, actually just 5 and mostly cleared.
So when should I think about stopping the drugs?
"About another five years, to allow your immune system to fully adjust."
Hmmm four units of alcohol a week max for the five years.
Anyone know of a good low alcohol / 0% red wine?

Not sure there is such a thing. Wife recently tried zero alcohol white wine, we poured it down the sink - it was foul and stank of something like sileage.

Rawsons Retreat Alcohol Free Cab Sauv is supposed to be ok.
I keep reading about some French winemakers that are making good quality (but not cheap) zero/low stuff. I'll have a rummage and see if I can find the articles.

Never found any of the 0% reds to taste like anything other than Riebna. All very sickly. I think the least offensive, bit still not good, was Mcguigan Zero Shiraz.
If this is a factor for you, we found that many 0% wines have higher sugar content than their alcoholic counterparts due to the heavy use of grape concentrates. This was a year or more ago though, and the winemakers may have improved things since then?

I think that was the difference with the French ones I mentioned, they're sticking with traditional methods - and the process isn't cheap. IIRC a woman running one business that was featured said they're successful - because they're drinkable - as a result they're beating the downturn in the wine industry.
Ah. Here y'go. Low temperature vacuum distillation is the trick.

Filly bought a bottle of stuff from Tesco.
Even the sink almost threw up.
