But last 6" wouldn't shift as below the pump room level.
So me and neighbour cobbled together the pump from fountain. Didn't have relevant connections so was held in place by lots of lockwire and hope.
Ready to fit the top trim tmrw.
Similar job here. Drained ours as having a water loss issue which the pool guy thinks is the pipework leading the the water inlets. Coming tomorrow to test pipework and prepare for replacement.
Pool man delivers me bad news after pressure testing.
Buried pipe from plant room to pool has gone pop, probably on an old galvanised fitting somewhere - going to have to lift patio and pool surround to replace the complete run. Kerching!!!!!

Dipped my toe into facebook market place, sold my smoker, pulled toe back out.

Can they not run a liner pipe through it?

I made, waited while it chilled for half an hour and then ate (all to myself) a full Butterscotch Angel Delight.

Dropped $6 for tonight's $850,000,000 lottery & $4 for Friday's pittance of a mere $267,000,000.

After a family get together last night (nephew's 18th, but with his dad and step family - haven't seen his dad in about ten years or met the rest of the family!!!), I got up about 7am, left the air bnb a bit after 8am. Walked to the train station in Dorchester (via a supermarket to top up on Terrys Chocolate orange - I already bought one and a mint one :o When did the mint ones come along???)

There too early so went to costa for a Maple Toffee Latte (or something!) - went to the station, couldn't get on the earlier train - tickets the same price but not allowed :( Only a 15 mins wait!!

Got to Southampton, Google couldn't work out where I was, so an interesting walk to the National Express coach station!!

20p to use the loo :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: :angry-cussingblack: I'd just spent all my uk change on cadburys and chocolate orange (my suitcase has a lot of chocolate buttons and Ibuprofen in it!! )!!

Luckily a lady working there gave me a 20p - not before she reminded me that the ticket does say not to arrive more than 20 mins before the coach   FFS, I only sodding went to S'ton to meet a mate who had to cancel (bad family news) so I really didn't need the bloody lecture

Man at the coffee place there was great, had a really good chat with him for the hour I was waiting for the coach. He runs the coffee place in the Harley dealership in S'ton I think

Decent coach ride up - well, after a little scare of a stalled coach that didn't seem to want to restart :o It did, luckily!!

WAY too early at Heathrow (3 hours before check in!), but better than being late

Checked in, walked to the gate, got called to board. Waited in the tunnel to get to the last bit of tunnel to get on the plane

Waited a bit more in the tunnel to get on the plane

And more. After almost an hour of waiting, they told us that there was a security issue - we'd been called through before the plane was empty!! So they'd had to disembark all the arriving passengers to the ground, except some with mobility issues. those they had to wait and get permission for them to walk past us!! LOL

Very very bumpy taxi then take off an hour late - the bumpiness did nothing for my calm!! LOL I do so hate flying :( Bit of turbulence in the air and a not very nice landing. I was at the back of the plane so by the time I left I was very much in need of some solid ground! LOL

So, I've been at Lyon airport since midnight! Not keen to sleep on the floor - SOOOO don't want to miss the first tram!! (At 5am!)

On here typing to distract myself until 4.30 when I'll head over to the tram station to wait and then get the first coach out of Lyon Part Dieu (6.20am) to go to Aime via Chambery!!!

Very much looking forward to my mate picking me up at Aime at 10am and dropping me at another mate's shop for coffee, food and chat!! He's heading to Italy for cheap cigarettes and will pick me up on the way back! Then I need to get a couple of hours kip cos I'm going for dinner at some mates tonight :o :o

Hopefully I'll be able to sleep on the coach!!

Such a rock n roll lifestyle  !! Most annoying is that my boss for the winter contacted me this morning to say that he needs me to start on the 9th not the 2nd :( Annoying cos if i'd known that last week, I could have stayed over longer and probably sorted out a better flight back to not end up trying to stay awake in the airport!!

Bugger, no winners, it rolled over. Looks like I'll have to console myself with winning Saturdays $925,000,000 jackpot.
