Cheers, I'm not really bothered about performance gains,it's plenty quick enough as it is for me and I hardly ever touch A mode because it's so abrupt.
It's smooooth I'm after

I can safely say A mode becomes usable now yes.

Out again today, same route, same roads, still epic!!!

Came back on A34 and it's such a lovely bike to cruise on, sitting at 75 it's just effortless.

Heated grips get too hot at 75% in current conditions.

Put them down to 50%.

Warm and sunny and after a few dusty/messy rides it deserved a clean.

You need a skylift to get to all those little dirt traps you just know are there.

I once again considered this as I lay horizontal under the bike's nether regions today.

That can easily be resolved by utilising my cleaning regime

A few people have, but it's massively more work than i think it's worth myself. I'm OK with the little boxes, they don't bother me as much as they seem to bother some people. In some ways i've moved on a little from the 'oh this must be perfect' to the 'how does it ride and excite me' and the XSR ticks that box in spades. Since the ECU tweaks and suspension stuff i now think the bike is better than it ever has been and i'm happy to give this the title of 'best bike ever'

I'm actually really hoping that in about 12 months from now, Scotty and Paulo from here are messaging me for a Cochem trip again and i'll be the first one signing up, even more so if they're adding in a Spa trackday as i'd like to tick that box again. From a trip perspective though, last time we went i was on the 690 Duke and despite loving the bike and loving some of the sections, it did make the ride quite hard work, both the getting there and back with some motorway stuff and also some of the sections which encouraged 100mph where the little 690 wasn't in it's element. But i think the XSR900 would be a brilliant brilliant bike on the Cochem/Nurburgring area roads i really do.

Fil2 was asking me if i'm going to Silverstone in July this year and the answer is no, i've peaked a bit with the UK stuff, but Portimao, Spa, etc i could easily be talked into.

The XSR would be great for the trip no doubt.

Not sure about it for me to be honest. Love our little escapes but the world's bigger than just Cochem. For me it all depends if I get my fix of spreading my wings further. The venue's great, the roads are great etc but it's missing that discovery element which I like.
I doubt I'd track the GT despite being intrigued to see how it goes, I bought a track bike to avoid risking a road bike on track and using it as a commuter it's just grief should something happen. It would feel like I was tempting fate too.

THe only thing i don't like about the unknown is not finding what we want. With Cochem etc we know what we're getting, the roads are ace, the food, the people etc. I'll go anywhere though, don't worry about that

Had to drop off a parcel today, so took out the big XSR.

Noticed just how much more responsive it is in A mode over STD mode, it's like a different bike... Was just trying things out as it's a horrible road and you could really notice how much smoother it is in STD, but also how when you get on the throttle in A mode it's BLAM ! but not in STD, it's more woosh than BLAM.

Heated grips are the best thing ever in these temps though that's for sure.

Yeah bit chilly out at the moment.

They've also salted down here again So no riding for me at the minute.

I'd say yes, but arguably I'm not the greatest rider to ask

Quick question. After my wiz ecu flash do I need to removed the lambda sensor or can I just keep it where it is?
