Nah, I'll still be there on my slow bike, so there will be at least one bike in the gang to keep you company on the straight, and we can go XSR hunting together ;)
1. I'll be trying my best !
2. You'll be hungover from the night before. "These beers taste funny...." Yup, that's the 4 shots of tequila in them !!!

What's going to be a good lap time for a RTTL rider around Portimao?

I think that depends on who we class as an RTTL rider and who we doing.

Looking at the times i'm thinking sub 3.00 will be OK for most of us.... With people like Fil2 being in the 2:20 bracket maybe... But couchie will know more as i'm pretty sure him and the lads were timing at least for some of it when we were last there.

Most of us will have our own targets and very few of them will be related to actual lap times.

I know exactly what/who my targets are.

He's a fast boy from what I remember, so I predict he'll be at least 20 and probably nearer 30 secs under that - basically anything sub 2 mins is a very decent track-day lap around there ( and something I'll be nowhere near  )

Yozza, on the other hand, I'm expecting to be smoking his way round under all of us , sub 1:50... ;)

I'm not sure how we can measure the smile-o-meter, but I'm reasonable confident of a top 5 finish in terms of grins, bottom 5 in terms of lap times! :)

Judging from the cracker Motogp onboard footage from the last few days,it seems a technical circuit. Some of those blind entries...

Without being too harsh, it's no Pembrey that's for sure.

It's top of my list of tracks with Spa in 2nd.

Lots of English tracks are hilly with blind entries. Just glance at the marshall's flag and chuck it in :)

I am already watching on board footage from different sources to try and figure out where it goes :wtf:

As weeksy said, its a bit more than Pembreys 6 rights and an extended left to get your head round

I may be taking 2 bikes if the cbr500r doesn’t sell 👍

Lap time wise we were under 2 mins last time in the high 50’s. Most of a fast group are around 2mins +/- 5s or so. I won’t be timing and now I’m older and slower il be aiming to stay in inters and not get moved down.
The moto3 boys on their first flying lap were in the 56’s not knowing the track lol.

I'm a poor old pensioner now, so will be cruising round to save on fuel and tyres :)

Watched a couple of vids tonight of some lads in Fast on fairly decent RSV4's and they were about 2 mins 2 but a good 10 mph down on the Craig Jones sweeper at Turn 9 and main straight than Al Fagan from 44 teeth on their superbike shootout test.

Fuck knows what a novice on a nekkid touring bike can do and at least i cant get moved down   ....turn 13 looks interesting for the first pass :wtf:

Pre-season testing booked for Silverstone on 3rd May. Could potentially be first time out on the bike since August this year. 😳 So need to remember how to ride a bike before heading to Portugal! I think I better get doing some you-tube watching done as well. I still forget which corner comes up next when asked about Pembrey! Lol. Alright when I’m on track but rubbish otherwise.

You'll have your msv credit too and probably mine

So that's 3 days before Portimao.

who worries about the lap-times ! I'm more worried about my ABS kicking as I brake going down the hill into turn 1 with my rear wheel bouncing around !

Indded, that's a concern. I could fix that though by buying KTM 690 SMC-R which will mean my top end is only 110mph :D
