Not really bad, but definitely getting worse. It would numb my hands at first, but now I can also feel it coming through the floorboards and seat.

I once took a Foggy rep helmet back to Carnell's.
Was way too loud. Not fit for purpose.
I did my research and got a refund.

I've emailed the dealer and will get them to sort it out. If they couldn't, then I would back it, but I really cant see that happening!

On my new RF900 the vibration was real bad. They tried to fix it, then put a new engine in. A guy from suzuki brought the engine and fitted it.

Still bad so they blueprinted it. Was so fast then, I didn't care about the vibes

According to the road tests I watched and asking other owners, its not right, so I expect the dealer to find something wrong with it. That said, it is only at the lower revs I get it, if riding at a constant speed, give or take a few mph/thousand revs. But as it is slowly but surely getting worse, something will show up at some point and its under Yamaha warranty for sometime yet. I have no reason to expect the supplying dealer not to support me in this, but if they said there's nothing wrong with it and to go away then i'd just contact Yamaha direct and take it up with them. It'd get resolved one way or another.

FWIW I think there is a fault with the variator...

Spoke to the dealer and they have a demo there which he thinks I'll find to be exactly the same, but is quite happy to let the workshops look at it as well. Cant ask for more than that. I've got it in my head there's an issue, so it'll be nice to get a clean bill of health anyway.

My colleague says all bikes make some vibration and I might be sitting where it manifests itself. That is true and I am very susceptible to getting numb hands on a bike. I can't think of a bike I've owned that I haven't had to find a ride around solution on it. Trouble is, on an auto you can really change gear to alter the revs! Itis only around 3-4.5k that you feel it, anywhere else is fine. So maybe it is the big nut behind the handlebars that's causing it!

When I said to my colleague these are supposed to be silky smooth and I'm not finding it like that. He said based on test ride reports by journos who ride everything, they probably are silky smooth compared to say a thumping Panigale. Again, he's probably right, but I do think its getting worse, rather than me just noticing it more?

Anyway, ball is in my court on whether to take it in or not. I'll give it a couple of weeks and try not to sit at revs where its vibey and see how I feel then.

We've been there with "i can change it to make it better" and we've seen time and time again, you swap it 3-6 weeks later... I'll be impressed if this one is any different in terms of outcome. You tried to change the MT09 which you adored and failed.... I see you failing with a bike you already don't particularly like

Lol, you're probably right it'll get changed, but it won't be anytime soon. Oh and I don't dislike it.
