Saying that, if it was me and it rides the way I want then I'd perhaps just leave it as it is.
Cat ain't going, i've tried both of the options, pre-silencer, horrible noise, full straight through, good noise but deafening.

From a riding context, the end-can itself doesn't massively affect noise levels and doesn't affect fuelling.

Whilst the standard can isn't light, it's not the weight of the moon like the Cat is..

I'd happily swap the can... I don't mind the small silver one, but this lot abused me for it when debating it recently.

Just cut it off at the bend near the rear tyre. Neighbours will love it.

There must be some way of quietening it down? Bikes weren't mentally noisy by default before cats came along.
I guess it depends on perception, loads use it without cat, but for me it was ridiculous.

You owned a couple 990's with decat and aftermarket cans blaring out up top??

I think 4 stroke singles can easily sound terrible when a bit too loud, really annoying type noise imo. Twins don't sound nearly as offensive even when loud.
I had the same problem getting the noise right on my 701 with the same motor as Weeksy's. Tried a Leo Vince, Akra, Wings and settled on a Remus with built in cat. Sounded perfect and when i had it mapped the power was just the same as folk who had decatted.

As we've established in the world, I'm very fussy and right has to be completely right, otherwise it's just wrong, I don't do compromise.
I looked earlier at the longer Leo Vince and back to back pics with standard, there's not actually much in it, not enough to spend £300 anyway.

So the exhaust is out the window.

Sadly that means the bike wants nothing, or should they be happily, lol

This lockdown has spurred me on to potentially think about a Euro trip to portimao next year with the 690, because, well, why the fuck not

See, not enough in it imo to justify the outlay.

Some essentials were needed today, so jumped on the KTM and did 13-14 miles.... it's only a short ride of course, but i don't wanna take the mick, so that's all we got.

Well today wasn't exactly my favourite mod aesthetically. But functionally the screen is awesome.

Always surprised how effective those screens are considering how small they are. I don't think they look terrible either.

Well if you've been paying attention to the insanity you'll have seen the 690 isn't going but is actually staying now.

The reason is, when I bought this bike I owned a 790, I debated swapping it to a 690 but thought it may be daft, I then tested a 690 and decided to swap it.

So why would I swap back to a 790, that's crazy talk.

Of course there was a logic to it, but I think the logic of keeping bit is better than the logic of selling it.

Anyway, commence with the abuse, banter, whatever. I'm a big boy, I can take it.

I'm confused.

Has the bike arrived?

Is it a 690 a 790 or a 790 to a 690 or something else?

How can one tell one orange from another?

Is it time to say HNBD?

My head hurts.

No. The 790 hasn't arrived. It was due in this week to dealer

Both are orange

One is a single one is a twin.

Mine too, mine too.
