I have a few stands hanging around here somewhere, probably buried in the shed of plenty. I should sort them out and get rid really, especially as the original shed is due for demolition!

Been playing around with the TFT screen.

Hooked my phone up to it and my airpods, so will try that out tomorrow, I think. Got to work out the carplay etc. Also the controls in the 6 rider modes!

It has adjustable inputs but I couldnt feel any differnce in the power despite it displaying power levels of 1-4. Turn out its power delivery or throttle response.

I'll get the hang of it, but its not as intuitive as say the Tesla screen menus!

Can't be that hard if you get used to it before selling at the weekend

Just catching up, love the AT, has the Rangy gone replaced by a Tesla? Is the camper still surviving?
Mick.

Yes, the Rangey cost too much to just sit there and it didn't even turn a wheel most months. So I had a deal for the Tesla + cash my way and now i'm £100s better off each month and I actually use the Tesla a lot more than I ever did the Rangey?! Camper is still here and used every 3-4 weeks now!

Cool, not sure how I’ve missed the changes, think I’ve got old and forgetful.

Lol, you're amongst friends!
FWIW I'd had the X-ADV an incredible (for me) 18 months and fancied a change. I loved the X-ADV but always felt it was underpowered, after the last few bikes i'd had which had all been 100bhp+, so dropping down to 50+ bhp was so noticable.
I also had a recent back injury and I suspected the stretch to the bars was hampering my recovery, so that was the excuse to try something new. Being pretty much limited to an auto the AT seemed an obvious choice as I liked the1000c one I had before.
My previous one had about every extra you could put on one and it was very top heavy, so i shopped around for a bog standard 1100 that was unladen with extras and found this one. Hopefully, it appears I was right on both fronts as my riding the AT doesnt pull my back and I don't find it too top heavy at all? Loving the extra grunt too!

Ha, I know!!
I was always surprised when I saw an update on the X-ADV that it was still surviving, at least the loft/shed of plenty may have some upgrades lurking for the AT.
I know you’ve had knees etc replaced, don’t think they do backs yet, sadly, so sounds like the right choice for you.
Looking forward to the upgrade thread now, and the Tesla thread when the usual bits start breaking, rear hatch hinges, seat adjuster, that’s just what broke on my work car in a few short weeks.
Sounds all good mate, all the best.
Mick.

Note that the displays work "backwards", so the fewer segments showing the more power (or engine braking) you have.
All that is except for the traction control, where it works the other way round

If you don't ride it in max power, min traction mode 100% of the time are you even a biker?

Dont ask me, i'm trying to ensure that. And I took the db killer out today, for no other reason than to be offensive.

Lol, good to see you've still got the energy and enthusiasm for all the new stuff, sad to see the Rangy go, cracking motors, I'd love a big trail bike but I'm too much of a midget to get an AF but I did buy four cars since I was last here if that gets me any internet man points.

Rangey had to go, even though I only had to justify it to myself I just couldn't do it anymore. Insurance had trebled. Manufacturer's warranty was out so now i had to pay it at £115 a month. Residuals were plummeting and I'd lost £20k on it so far and with them becoming almost uninsurable in some postcodes, it was only going to get worse, so I bit the bullet and moved it on.I dont regret owning it though, lovely motor and served me well.
Man points a plenty and sounds like you should start a thread about them. I often wondered about how your project/resto Porsche was coming along? I came whisker close to owning a 997.2 convertible a while back...
Good to see you back posting btw.

That's even more nuts that £115 a month is considered good value insurance cos they are so unreliable! My Mazda has so far cost me less than £200 in the 5 years I've had it for a broken suspension spring, and that was cos of our shite roads. Touching wood, other than consumables it's cost nothing.

It use to be £89 a month but LR hiked it just when it was due for me.

To be fair, It had an oil leak caused by the supplying dealership nipping the oil filter housing seal and it had one sensor fault which cause throttle lag but apart from that no issues, but I wouldn't own a late RR without a warranty!

I know you're talking about warranty prices but if insurances prices are also an issue, have you tried SAGA?
It used to be a bit of a joke, SAGA for the over 50's but we got our Range Rover insurance down by 40% by switching to them now we're old enough - I presume they think older people crash less - no jokes about Prince Phillip
A 997.2 would be a good car to buy by the way if you're concerned about residuals and reliability, they tend to hold their prices well and reliability is a lot better than older and even newer stuff.
