Sometimes it is safer to carry on at your pace and make the pass. There could be one or more riders behind you and your not able to think for them. Suddenly slowing may be an invitation to get clattered.
Me, I’ll either make the manoeuvre or put my leg out as an indication that I’m not.
Just my opinion.

The rider in front always has right of way. Leave plenty of room. Never pass on inside through a bend.

For the novices, it's possible to take Woodlands flat out without shutting off then just drop a gear for Honda curve. Nice wide line into the hairpin. Careful on the way out

Well, that was a day and a half.

CBT from hell with 4 numpties ranging from 16 year old cocky teenager, Thai woman with limited English on a ped, 57 year old bloke who last rode 30 years ago and reckons he is ready for full A license tests but can barely change fucking gear and his son who was almost too big to fit on any 125 and couldnt use a clutch if his life depended on it. I knew it was going to be a long eventful day by 0900

Add in the Ducati was in for full Desmo service which is the mucho expensive one and also needed new chain and sprockets to add additional spice to the final bill. Sprockets didnt turn up when expected so a very nervous wait to see if they got completed in time as i would have been fucked if they hadnt.

Finally completed CBT at 1815 and got a lift to pick the bike up at 1900 and then head for home lots lighter in the wallet but the bike feels mint. Full credit Carl Harrison at Harleston, my local independent Italian bike specialist, for getting all the work done in time and staying open an extra hour to let me collect the bike. Top man and highly recommended

All ready to pack up the topbox for departure tomorrow morning and head down to Wales to meet the RTTL massive

Well for us Silverstone went pretty well.

We got plenty of track time, apart from a stoppage as we'd run out of ambulances. But the sessions went well.

I struggled a little with the leathers but more so with my dodgy knee which has been hammered lately from cycling. So I pulled the plug a session before the end.

It was then a case of loading 3000 thing in the van and driving to Llanelli. 3 pints of Doombar and a burger later and it's bed time.

Let the festivities commence tomorrow!
