Yeah I like that, it's got a bit of Diavel in it but that's not a bad thing, it looks well done and pretty good IMO.
If I was being picky I'd have different pod filters and a traditional headlight rather than the halo thing, and I probably wouldn't choose a banana swingarm, but overall it looks a bit different and I like it.

I'm not sure about the fanned end cans, they remind me too much of a spoof advert* from the 1980s(s)

*Might have been for tyres. It was a stereotypical rocker on a British bike with a ridiculous number of exhaust cans. Like Mods and mirrors on their scooters.

I think it would suit a different tank shape, but other than that, two thumbs up.

Never saw the advert but six cylinders and six pipes works for me, I don't like it when it's one middle section and then it splits off, but this is six individual exhausts.

I'd worry about getting rear ended with such a tiny brake light though
Agree with this - it's the first "no side panels" bike that I've liked. Very well sorted.

All over that. Love it. Always desired a MotoMartin CBX, but I'd take that instead!

Pretty much this.
The cabling could be neater if I was being picky.

Looks almost spot on - the only slight quibble is that the line of the seat base doesn't QUITE line up with the bottom of the tank since the seat sits on the frame rather than wrapping round over it.

It's OK. But if I was paying big money just to have it in the lounge to stare at, it'd have to be the original.

It came out when I was 18 and blew the biking world apart. It was just Honda showing the world what they can do.

The noise was beautiful.

Actually, all the seat / tank match doesn't gel ...

Hmm. The top of the seat blends beautifully with the back of the tank - it's clearly made to fit, rather than just being a pad plonked on the top tubes as so many of these 'custom' seats are, and the tail hump mimics the curvature of the tank pretty well too.

To my eye, that all works.

One of the guys I served my time with had one of the early sixes,he was meticulous with cleaning and servicing. The thing was better than showroom condition,we drooled over it every lunch break.
Just before he left for Oz he sold the bike to another (much less careful) workmate who rode it all year around and rarely treated it to a wash. At some stage the front of the engine and header pipes collected a black bin liner, which added considerably to it's new status of rat-bike.

I saw one parked up at a cafe some months back, and the rider was sitting there on a little fold-up stool, cleaning the fins with a toothbrush with a mug of tea beside him. They do seem to bring out the obsessive cleaner in owners...

...which makes me wonder. Why hasn't Weeksy got one?

I quite easily could !!!

Honda CB1000 SF Big One
Rare bike, not often seen.

CB1300 forks, Renthal bars
VTR wheels to wear proper sized tyres
Nissin 4 pot brakes, braided lines
Ported head, adjustable cam sprockets
Two Brothers full race exhaust
Shorter gearing

Built to ride and it rides really well, lots of fun in town or on the back roads.
Will happily cruise on motorway.

Clocks have been changed due to a low speed crash.

Have another good tank, carbs, engine gasket set, new braided lines, original clocks and lots more.

£1850

Collection from Colne PE28.
