Left home at 7:30 this morning for a lovely roof down drive through the wilds of Essex to meet the electrician at my Step Mothers. He arrived precisely at the promised 08:30. 👍 I’m now sitting here surfing the net whilst hoping he doesn’t take long!

I went to a crocodile park in Qheensland. Bloody scary things.
Then we did a river cruise in Kakadu national park with crocs all around.

Sitting here with a mug of tea winding up to cook stuff for later.

I've already made two lasagnes for the freezer (with courgette as the layers as I had courgette and no lasagne pasta!! LOL)

I've got chicken satay out of the freezer along with char sui pork. Got to make crispy chill beef, sweet and sour sauce, chicken balls, egg fried rice (later, but will prep the veg) and maybe a veg chow mein (which is probably headed for the freezer for me!). I also want to try and make coconut and mango 'spring' rolls. They were a dessert we had a couple of weeks ago at a Thai restaurant, but they 'forgot' the mango, so fancy attempting that if I have time!

There'll be three of us and so I don't have to make much of anything, but what is left will go in the freezer :bblonde:

Right now, we have a lot of smoke to the north west of my house. It's almost certainly a forest fire and a few minutes ago I heard the village fire appliance heading up the hill. No sound of the forestry helicopters yet so maybe it's not too bad.
Bit close to home though . . .

It would appear the fire is just outside Marmaris, a few miles from the village and not as close as I feared. Still not good though.
The were a couple of big fires around Manavgat yesterday but that's a long way east. Arson is suspected there...

Me and a few others are laughing our butts off as the H&S officer just tripped over his own bag. My colleague said to him, "Well fancy leaving that there"! Fecking priceless!

On the hill between icmeler and marmaris - same place as a few weeks ago but this one looks a lot worse. Evacuating hotels in marmaris and armatulan.

I hope some sensitive soul advised him on more snug fitting underwear.

Thanks. There's still smoke in the air and I can smell it now but it doesn't appear to be coming this way.

@wheelnut, I have friends stuck in Blue Port mall. Traffic stopped between there and Içmeler. It was burning well very near the Siteler bus terminus. Oh, and we have a power cut as well. Swimming time now I think.

Looks like everyone in icmeler is being evacuated by boat to marmaris. I’ve seen a few fires there over the years but nothing like this.
