I 'think' (due to my limited experience) that when they scan his code and it comes up "invalid", if they then scroll down the page it was say "2 of 2 vaccines administered". We've been told to accept that as proof !rodbargee wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 5:50 pm Beware folks, Master rodbargee is going back to carry on living in Italy where hes been over the last year or so, he's jabbed up here and has the qr code jab passport which it seems is not recognised in Italy and elsewhere in europe, so he cant use public transport or go to bars theres no plan it seems to get it working in europe at all. the Italians have a green card thing instead and the UK pass is not allowed Despite the fact he has EU residency in Italy He's beside himself as he cant get gigs or use public transport to get around. Nothing is in place to be able to convert it to one that will work over there.

Re: QR code covid certificate not worth the paper its not written on
I just got a new licence due to my 10 years being up. £14 if i have a valid passport and do it online or about £22 if not and go to post office. Post office not taking pictures just now due to covid and i have a month left on passport. Still managed to use that and no i have a new licence what allows me to use the 10 years out of date picture. Seems a daft system to me.

They don't really need the photo for most of us any more so it doesn't matter that it's out of date. That's just to make it easier to pick up a package at the Post Office.Felix wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 8:06 amI just got a new licence due to my 10 years being up. £14 if i have a valid passport and do it online or about £22 if not and go to post office. Passport control just scan you for the nano-RFID that Bill Gates put in the vaccine along with the mind-control, tracker nanobot.

Yes - but in a brilliant stroke of britishness, you can download your 'ultra-secure-unbreakable' 'Covid Pass' QR code image as a PDF for easier access, (which can then obviously be shared around).asmethurst99 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 6:23 pmThe NHS app needs quite a lot of detail uploaded such as photo ID etc so I'd imagine you'd have to go to some lengths to spoof it
It links with your NHS number and GP history - quite useful tbh - in normal times younacan order meds etc
I'm sure it has flaws but seems like a useful app.

Could be a little earner on eBay! It does seem to be a slight flaw in the idea - limiting the download to 30 days doesn't make it much better. Once the universities go back some nightclubs may wonder why the same person has entered the club 79 times in one evening!Rockburner wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 9:22 amYes - but in a brilliant stroke of britishness, you can download your 'ultra-secure-unbreakable' 'Covid Pass' QR code image as a PDF for easier access, (which can then obviously be shared around).asmethurst99 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 6:23 pmThe NHS app needs quite a lot of detail uploaded such as photo ID etc so I'd imagine you'd have to go to some lengths to spoof it

Step kids and their dad (he's married to an italian) currently in Italy. Despite him being double jabbed, they've had to isolate for 5 days on arrival and getting the runaround regarding PCR tests (had to drive 1.5hrs from place of isolation to get their PCR prior to ending isolation)
I just think Europe currently hates the UK and our poor control of covid etc and want to make difficult.....

And yet I'm "in the EU" and looking in to the UK and guess what I think? A UK citizen, double jabbed with an AZ vaccine FFS and I'm still excluded from my full rights to travel more freely in/out of the UK because my vaccines were applied abroad. Now who's "being difficult"? What do they think has happened since January 1st exactly?v8-powered wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 9:55 am I just think Europe currently hates the UK and our poor control of covid etc and want to make difficult.....
I mean, I don't really, . But lack of cooperation all round is rife and the rationale is always that if you can knock up a system that works swimmingly for the 95% then the 5% of difficult bastards can go screw themselves. That happens in most industries, insurance for example.

I'm not sure it was ever designed to be 'ultra-secure unbreakable' -Rockburner wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 9:22 am Yes - but in a brilliant stroke of britishness, you can download your 'ultra-secure-unbreakable' 'Covid Pass' QR code image as a PDF for easier access, (which can then obviously be shared around).
If it's for travel it's going to be used alongside your passport. If it's for entry in to a nighclub then an easy check would be to show it alongside some other ID, DL etc - which is quite oiten needed for age verification anyway.

I went to Goodwood on the Friday, yes they checked the 'covid pass', but that was it, no other corroboration, and IIRC all they actually did was look at the document - yes it looks like a QR code.... I haven't heard of retina-fitted cameras yet, and to be able to read a QR code image using nothing but your own mind would require mental skills not seen this side of a Marvel movie.

Re: QR code covid certificate not worth the paper its not written on
I had to 'blip' myself into a restaurant the other day. My missus had forgotten her phone, the bloke wasn't bothered (TBF it's not 'actionable' til next week over here I think)
But anyway, I could have blipped myself using someone else's details if I really wanted, there's no cross-checking other than the diligence of the checkerer.

It’s early in the adoption process. These things have a way of settling as processes and standards mature.Rockburner wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 11:00 am Ha right.

They can't even sort it out between England and Scotland.

Went to Goodwood with a pal on the Thursday and our QR codes etc. were never scanned, just got waved through.Rockburner wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 11:00 am I went to Goodwood on the Friday, yes they checked the 'covid pass', but that was it, no other corroboration, and IIRC all they actually did was look at the document - yes it looks like a QR code....
