Cleaned all the bits I can’t normally get to.
And the outside the throttle of the body before I strip it.

Gave into the wife and bought the most ridiculous car I could find.
I have a feeling I might get left with an Aygo to go to work in if I don't hide the keys well enough.

You have a lovely family chap! Glad you were able to have such a good time out with them in this lovely weather!Taipan wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 10:14 am Went to the pub yesterday for my Sisters 60th birthday. Both my kids came too so i actually got to chat and have a drink with them for the first time in ages! Great day at the pub then back to my Sisters for Beef curry. It was going to be goat (Sisters boyfriend is Jamaican) but the rest of the people didn't want to eat goat?? Don't understand that? You eat chickens, cow, pig and Lamb but turn your nose up at Goat? Anyway, blinding curry with home made pickled cabbage, which apparently his family always have with curry? Gotta say it was lovely! A really great day catching up with old friends and much laughter was had by all.
I was in Church for 3 services today, but still had a really good day of it. Managed to nip home for a light lunch and then back finally at 8pm for dinner and a beer with the wife. Daughter was out all day as isolation ended today. She did a bit of shopping which is good as she struggles to find things she likes to wear. Son came to one of the services this afternoon and enjoyed it.
Hope you are enjoying the fabulous weather and managed to get good family time in or a nice ride!

Re: What have you done today thread?
I'm still close to all my cousins, but we lost touch with one as he was brought up by his mum when parents split.
We found him in mid 90s and was cool. But his dad died and we lost touch again. Not seen him since funeral.
One cousin found him on FB and it's been mental all day catching up.
He was in our town on hols a few years ago and we had no idea.
He's coming over soon

That's some savage haggling by the salesman. Hope you had a drink afterwards to take away the taste KFB.

Done about 30 minutes work spread over an 8 hour day in an office and then explored one of the lochs on spawn the larger's land. It's ideal for swimming in, which is nice.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Layed off work so some bike time. 281 miles . Down to the Brecon beacons. No pics as mate didn't want to stop. Very hot so jacket unzipped a bit and opened up my jacket cuffs getting air up arms, still bloody hot though, really need to be moving on a bit for any restbite.
Took a new road to me, travelling south from Brecon A470 then took a right onto I think A4059, superb views up there. Then A465 west and made our way to Upper Brynamman and up the black mountain pass, A4069, great road and views but 40mph limit. Back to Trecastle and A40 to Abergavenny. Up to Hereford to see a mate then north and home.
Fantastic days riding and if I was on my own would of got pics, mate didn't want to stop too much, downside of going with a mate. Tracer was spot on, yes arse ache but would of had that on any bike..

Re: What have you done today thread?
Paid another wedge of cash to a vet totalling £375 in the last 3 weeks:
£100 for the cat constantly sneezing
£125 for 3 months pest control for 3 animals*
£150 for the dog to be anesthetised to remove a 12mm long thorn between two toes
F.M.L!**
* Massively overpriced so we’ll ask for a private prescription next time
** I’d spend it all again to make sure they were all safe and well

Re: What have you done today thread?
Long day today, 4 bike CBT with a group who needed a bit more time to get clutch control and a couple of 16 year olds on peds who needed some serious tuition on "who has the right of way"
By the time i finished my intended chain and sprocket change was a lot later than planned but good chance to use the full bike lift at the work base rather than on my driveway. All done and now 2 sprockets with some teeth left and a shiny gold (i am a tart) chain. Ignore the dirt as the bike needs a clean and it also has oily finger marks from changing the kit .... i might even post a pic of what is left of the alloy sprocket that was on the bike if i remember as its in the bin at work
Also remembered i need to take the gear lever off and adjust it down a bit as i smudged the marker when i went to re attach it so needs another notch down on the spline to be where i want it
Add in i managed to catch the right mirror on the shed door a few days ago snapping the fucker right off .... really, really not happy
Good old M & P however sell old model freshly made mirrors for not a lot of money for all sorts of bikes including my 21 year old Fazer ...ta da and happy again

Shit the bed and I’m on my way to Cornwall to see the Old Man. Currently being stalked by a seagull at a roadside cafe and trying to warm up as my ventilated jacket has been working too well in the morning mistiness.
