Certainly was what the Beeb implied, rather than my inference: "Greater Manchester Police said an investigation had begun after the force received a report of racially aggravated damage at the site at 02:50 BST on Monday."

Either way, I like the community spirit, and the great British public's desire to get their face on telly.

You mean to say that BBC mislead people in order to make a story bigger than it was..... I'm shocked !

As for the racist abuse, did it come from England or somewhere else in the world?

Edit: Found it, there were no racist insults on the mural.
It said Fuck Sancho and called Rashford a black bastard and a picture of a dick on there too.

Where did you see that? All I can find on news sites is:
The word “F***” was scrawled over the huge artwork of the England footballer, painted on the side of a cafe in Copson Street in Withington, south Manchester, after Gareth Southgate's side lost to Italy.

The words “shit” and “bastard” were also graffitied beside the word “Saka”, the 19-year-old player whose final penalty miss gave Italy victory.
If it was racist then fair enough but if not they shouldn't pretend it is.

LadBible had the picture up, but may have edited it now?

Looks like it was written by a child, a nasty one who'se parents need talking to but hardly the focus of national news. I'm surprised it took that long as the mural is quite a target for graffiti. Is anything racist legible on there, I can't tell?

One of Pen's pals is opening a new bar soon which means Penny will be singing again soon. She often sang ad-hoc at her previous place

A funeral procession going past today and most random passers-by taking a second to stop, face the cortège and pay their respects. Seemed a thing of times gone by but nice to see.

Got some storage jars at a brocante in the next village. And a couple of Hard Rock Cafe shot glasses - my RDad used to send me stuff from various Hard Rock Cafes around the world and these made me think of him immediately!! Best bit - cost me 4€ for the jars and the glasses :bblonde: :bblonde:

Then, meeting some friends at a really quiet cafe for lunch and coffee. Awesome! :D :D
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:

The HR department has realised the best way to get people to come into the office is with free food, works for me.
They have also decided to give everyone an extra two days holiday in August and shutting the company both days, nice but not as good as free food.

Not so much happy as pissing myself laughing.

My mate from Wisbech voted for Brexit because the area was overrun with eastern Europeans. Last night I met his daughters Bulgarian boyfriend.
