Not had that in years, bloody lovely, let it set in the fridge with a handful of jumbo choccie buttons jammed in.

We went through a stage where the wife got the kids Angel Delights and the other other stuff that tasted like tic tacs. Wasnt keen on the later but could easily scoff a whole pack of AD regardless of flavour!! Might have to get a pack when i next go shopping!

Re: Insignificant/ Significant things that BYP or just wind you up a little
Apparently the "okay" hand gesture is now a white power symbol and banned from use in some places. Even if it is adopted by white power types, it doesn't mean every time it's used it means that. Woke madness!
The OK hand sign has been added to a list of hate symbols.
The finger-and-thumb gesture - which is also a popular emoji - is being used by some as a "sincere expression of white supremacy", according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
But the US anti-hate group says the "overwhelming usage" of the hand gesture today is still to show approval or that someone is OK.
Therefore "particular care must be taken not to jump to conclusions about the intent behind someone who has used the gesture".

Unless one of the radical pressure groups appropriates the 'double-thumbs-up-Fonzie' greeting, I reckon I'm safe.

If white supremacist groups have any sense they will start taking a knee at their meetings and calling it something else like footballers do, then there will be a woke implosion causing years of in-fighting between the various BLM movements.

Youd rather a woke implosion than a white supremacist one?

By some irony, both the KKK and Nation of Islam have called for a separate Black African Nation* within the US of A, so stranger things have happened.

Interesting that you seem more annoyed with "woke madness" than the white supremacists that have appropriated the gesture.Taipan wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 10:34 am Apparently the "okay" hand gesture is now a white power symbol and banned from use in some places. White supremacists have little or no effect on my life but woke madness does and increasingly so. I'd prefer to not accept its a white power thing rather than empower the fuckers by recognising it as "theirs".JamJar wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 12:36 pmInteresting that you seem more annoyed with "woke madness" than the white supremacists that have appropriated the gesture.Taipan wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 10:34 am Apparently the "okay" hand gesture is now a white power symbol and banned from use in some places. If the white supremacists started using the Jamaican fist/knuckle/bump greeting, it would shake things up a bit.Taipan wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 1:11 pmWhite supremacists have little or no effect on my life but woke madness does and increasingly so. I don’t know what the black supremacists’ answer to that would be.Yorick wrote:If the white supremacists started using the Jamaican fist/knuckle/bump greeting, it would shake things up a bit.

You need to move somewhere warmer and drier mate.
I was told I get arthritis by my mid 30's. I'm 44 now and I do sometimes get symptoms (I get a five minute painful warning of a thunderstorm) but only when I'm in the UK in Autumn / winter. Never in France even though Biarritz gets more than it's fair share of thunderstorms !
