Painting the inside of my shed! Using up some paints that have been in there a while then I’ll gave a good sort and get it looking like a more usable space!

I'm thinking of swapping the STR765RS for a GSX S1000. Any thoughts? I had a CB1000R which I got on fine with and regret getting rid of it. I'll be test riding a GSX S1000 as soon as I have the time.

You can't go far wrong. It's an older k5 1000, bulletproof engine but without some of the fancy electronics.Trinity765 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 7:46 pm I'm thinking of swapping the STR765RS for a GSX S1000. Any thoughts? It's 32c so chilling on patio with ice cold beer.
Mrs Y is watching tennis inside. She's wearing my posh headphones so I can't hear the godawful noise. But can still hear her cheering and shouting.
Methinks upstairs to watch BSB

Re: A right now thread
Right now all my stuff is in the car and I'm ready to drive to a friends in SW London. He is a riding instructor and is lending me a bike to get to Wales on. I was going to be leading the event, but now, as he is on a bigger bike he will be leading and I'll be hanging around in the pack (which is handy as I'll be able to observe the other riders and their riding). Once in Wales I have little responsibilities so I'll be able to chill out proper and will be off grid (no phone signal, no internet - bliss).
What was a full on biking July has turned into a full on party July thanks to Triumph UK and while it's not what I planned I guess I'm getting the second best thing.

Woke up my daughter who is having to isolate because someone in her class went to watch the football and got covid.... in the week they do personal statements for applying to universities etc... ah well.
Heading out to an ancient 12th C Church which has a lovely peal of bells later this morning, then hopefully going to Ikea to collect a wall unit to put our bell tower audio equipment in at the modern Church.
Then back home to collect wife, shopping for daughter and then an evening meeting to sort out printer/scanner/copier system replacement. Rental is more than the cost of a good unit that would have a 3 year warranty and also allow them to print from mobiles. Too high tech for some of the ancients there, but it will future proof their systems.

Just dropped half a Mcvities Ginger Nut biscuit in my tea
Not sure which is worse, the loss of the half a biscuit or the fact that there will now be sludge in the bottom of my mug

I'm watching the weather, I was going to go off for a couple of days sailing on my own, but it's currently 20kts+ and I don't fancy doing battle with that single handed, it's doable but if you have any sort of drama it can quickly be unpleasant and it's a risk not really worth the hassle. Dropping the anchor when you can't control it from the cockpit and you're having to take care not to ground the boat in between sand banks, and then getting it back up again on your own in high wind is also a pain.

Waiting to hear if i need to go and rescue my eldest, who ran the car battery flat, or if she can get someone nearer than 45mins away.

Tidying up after houndminimus came flying into the house at warp 9, executed a perfect flying leap over the Old Sith Hound before an arse skid landing through the kitchen into the hallway and onto the hallway mat before spinning on his arse on the mat as he had a huge clump of grass hanging out of his bottom!.

I’ve been watching it build all afternoon but it’s finally matured and we have a HUGE thunderstorm to the north of us and I’ve got a grandstand view sitting in our back garden.

Boiler repair man had to order parts so we still have no hot water. I've just had my first cold shower. Well sort of step in, shriek and get out again! Repeat to fade! I'm such a wimp!
