I had to admire his chutzpah and told him as much.

The reply was something along the lines of, 'Take the tip, because I have a boyfriend'
It was quite a good comeback, in fairness.

I'll take 50% of the credit.
She's not too bad. She's taking me to Italy in Jan, so that I can get a matching tattoo to hers. My little girl. :proud:

The last few times I've checked my passport application it's just said - awaiting documentation/processing
Today, well, today it doesn't mention awaiting documentation, so there's a good chance they are actually processing and it should arrive soon (ish)
And the online info is that they are processing applications received before 29 April, which mine was
Still a lot of crossing of fingers going on, but with luck it'll be here before the winter

40% off after England win
Only downside for me is, I'm spending the difference drinking more when I came to collect

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
On another forum I'm on, I just got a PM offering me 2 VIP passes for next week's F1 at Slipperystone. I checked he'd got the right person. He said we'd had a little spat online over Hamilton, but he'd made the offer after the spat. I searched back and it was last December.
I said it was too much hassle this year. He said he gets 6 every year, so we agreed I can have 2 for next year.
VIP entry. Start line walkabout and McClaren hospitality. Free grandstand

Mindless, moronic bigotry. Or more specifically, the British way of responding to it....

One narrow-minded bell end defaces a mural with racist insults. A ground swell of spontaneous decency creates a response that says far more about about this country than any study ever could.
Proud to be British, even if we do have our fair share of home-grown idiots to deal with

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
Were they racist insults? I've seen it implied but not said in the media so it may have just said "Rashford couldn't hit this wall to save the final".
As for the racist abuse, did it come from England or somewhere else in the world?
Edit: Found it, there were no racist insults on the mural.
