Two of the pics are a different bike.

The XSR looks very silly with a person sat on it.

I wish more of these things would have pictures with normal sized humans sat on them.

You appear to be correct... but i don't often read the articles until later... first job is just getting the thread up, so i don't know why.

Auto Fabrica developed a 3 bike series that saw them create a track ready weapon, a rebuilt classic and a unique custom that blended elements of the previous two.

Is it ever comfortable (in relative terms) to have elbows outside of knees and head over the screen?

Ok, I had a diet of touring-faired bikes, but on my 400F with ace bars my elbows could be tucked in.
Even bland can be a type of character

The one that isn't an XSR is ok.

I really don't get the use of the XSR as a base-bike for all these customs. The frame and stance just massively compromises it.

I've said this before but I was speaking to a custom builder at a show and he reminded me something along the lines of "any standard bike is pretty, you just have to keep removing parts until it stops being ugly." He's right up to a point but there's so many bits on a stock XSR that don't fit the custom remit of long, low and clean.

I don't mind the bikes visually,I don't want them but they are interesting. Once a rider is included the whole lot looks like a mini-moto with a 6' 5" bloke on board, faintly ridiculous.

Jewellery, art, thinking ideas aloud, but not for riding.

That's what folk say about every bike I own, "I saw you on your moped today". No, it's not that the bike is particularly small, it's just that I'm big ffs. :flame:

It's a 990 Adventure you need. It felt like a 50" seat height to me!
