Sir will be wanting Hackett wool seats in his next car then.
I'm happy enough with the plain cloth seats in my truck.
I can't think of any advantages in having leather for chairs/seats/furniture, it might look nice but it's functionally rubbish.
In the future I will only buy cars with leather seats if they're fully ventilated/cooled - and even then if you can choose other options I will do.

Bike needs new tyres, bike garage can’t get them (on back order), so order tyres from online from company who had them in stock. Should take 4 days to deliver according to their website. It’s now 7 working days since they despatched them. Where are they I ask? stuck in customs they say, should be with you Friday or Monday (so that’ll be at least 14 days then ……). I don’t mind waiting BUT at tell the truth regarding delivery times so I can go elsewhere if I want. I check their online reviews and they’ve had this problem since at least May. Lying *unts.

The world has gone mad. I’ve just ordered a couple of laptops from dell - expected delivery 12th November!

Not me - I like leather seats. Just find them more comfortable and easier to maintain.

I dunno if they still do, but recently Range Rover offered wool seats as a cost option.
One of my very favourite cars is the Toyota Century. Wool seats cause Leather is too noisy...somewhere between the Emporer of Japan's wheels and an old British Rail carriage.
It's raining. Hugely insignificant!! But generally it's been at least dry in the mornings with rain later
This morning I have a bit of coaching booked at the pool. Ok, so I'll be in the water anyway, but I can't imagine the coach will be that chuffed to be getting wet from the side of the pool whilst helping me try to improve!!
Bloody weather - should be too bastard hot by now, not sodding raining!

When you get this email from Triumph and you're leading a tour in 7 days that people signed up for a year ago.

Just to confirm we have completed the work that the bike has come in for, (oil leak) we found that the bike had an oil leak coming from the alternator cover, we replaced the alternator gasket and have de-greased the bike as best we can. This work comes to £180.74.
Whilst doing this we have found that your bike has un-unusual engine noise. This is the first time we have heard the noise coming from the bike, possibly because the bike has had chance to cool down.
The technician and myself have been in contact with Triumph UK and we believe the problem to be related to the cam’s / buckets.
We will not be able to know exactly what is causing the noise until we strip the bike down to find a fault.
Because of this, Triumph UK will not discuss any warranty claim information until the bike is striped down and diagnosed. They have said that worst case scenario would be that it would be a goodwill claim on the parts and you would be liable to pay labour, which we estimate to be around £650 in labour.
They have suggested that if the problem is related to cam’s / buckets, then they would more than likely cover the cost of the labour.
Because this is quite a labour intensive job, and we are currently booking the workshop up to August at the moment, it’s quite hard for me to put a time scale on the work to be diagnosed and then completed. I’m sure we will diagnose the bike before our current booking date, but just to warn that we have allot of work on at the moment, but will try our best to get it completed as quickly as we can.
So far we have lent you our demonstrator speedmaster free of charge. We will be needing this bike back fairly soon as the bike is not used for long term loan. Our Policy a the moment is that we charge £24 per day for loan bikes. So I’m guessing you will be wanting to return the bike shortly, as the loan fee charges can quickly become quite high. Please let me know when you will be dropping our loan vehicle back to us.
Triumph do not cover the cost of courtesy bikes under warranty, not that your bike is officially under the 2 year manufacture warranty anymore.
We do not recommend you using your bike until the concerns are delt with.

Minor one this.... As you may have seen i got a new helmet for my 50th from Welsh Muffin.
Obviously this comes with a clear visor, so i bought a dark visor for it. Visor comes and is correct from Sportsbikeshop, so that's great.
However the Pinlock that comes with the helmet is different to the visor, the mounts are 15mm too far apart.
So, spoke to SBS "Yeah that is strange but we sell pinlocks for that size too, £33"
So i now own a £47 visor that needs another £33 for a pinlock....
Nah, i'm not playing that game. That's wrong IMO.
Fortunately the visor that comes with my NXR which will be relegated to track duty after my birthday is the same for the NXR and the X-Spirit3, so i'll remove the dark visor from that and fit to the new one.
