I was on my knees scrubbing the rear wheel last night, the tail was right in my eyeline, man the top of that 'R' decal is really really pink!

I like that. Old School fun and still fast enough to have proper fun. Looks very clean and smart. Hope you can sort the brakes out soon.

Bah, two miles from home the heavens open!

Managed to get almost 120 miles from a tank.... the light started to come on around 75 miles, but didn't stay on solid until 100, I gave in at 117 and put some fuel in.

Ramping up the rear pre-load seems to have help a lot, it's a bit sharper on the turn in.

I can't for the life of me get it to power up in 2nd, I hoped it would clutch up but I couldn't manage that either. The Blade would pop straight up in 2nd if you pinged the clutch. I guess it's the weight and longer gearing (the Blade had 6 gears, so 2nd would have been shorter?).

My 95 blade seems to have really long gears to me esp 2nd .
Do you think it might have a wheely cut out gizmo in 2nd ?

Nah, I don't think it has any gizmos of any kind.

My 98 Blade made a SAE/DIN 120 RWBHP. I could clutch it up easy in 2nd.

The 1100 was rated by Suzuki at 140bhp or something silly, but in stock form makes 110-120 at the rear wheel.

I weighed the blade using car corner scales and with half a tank of fuel, it was 186kg. Suzuki claim 230kg dry!!!!

It's quite easy to get the GSXR up to a real life 140bhp. Loud pipes add 10bhp alone.

I'm enjoying the bike, easy wheelies are a nice to have, but only a small factor to overall enjoyment.

A couple of teeth extra on the rear will get you where you want to go.

It probably retards the ignition in first and second to reduce power, lots of Suzukis that age did, apparently cutting the pink wire disables the retard, but I don't know if this is true
