Well it sure sounds epic.... doesn't say whether the Ring is open to traffic at the time though ?
But yes, £3500 is a LOT for it !

Re: Metzler do the ring
Yeah i get that, but if you were to do say Spa with Bikersdays or whoever, you'd get an S1000RR for £500-600 for the day... So that's say £1200 and then £500 for track, is £1700... So that leaves £1700 for hotel really, which is a lot...KungFooBob wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 8:13 am It includes an S1000RR for the two days.
Still a bit spendy tho'
I'm not knocking it if it's a closed circuit though, then it's great value,... but on an open Ring, hmmmmm

I'm assuming it's closed circuit.
They'd not be able to run instructed led laps with other traffic getting in the way.

Re: Metzler do the ring
When you consider how big the Nurburgring is and how much other business they do there £3500 isn't crazy for the whole circuit.
I would hesitate to call it value but I can see where the money goes.

Re: Metzler do the ring
What is the cost of a lap now? €29, my app won’t open as I know I still had a couple left from last year..
1 lap every lets say 10 to 15 mins if it’s slow instruction getting off the bike at certain sections, etc 4 laps per hour, 4 hours riding per day, that’s circa €928 in laps alone

Re: Metzler do the ring
You'd assume they get a discount on laps, but obviously need to 'hire' the whole circuit... So in that way, the value is in the fact you get the circuit to yourselves... Which IMO is an absolute bargain as i wouldn't ride it with others present again.r1flyguy wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 10:54 am What is the cost of a lap now? €29, my app won’t open as I know I still had a couple left from last year..

Re: Metzler do the ring
Last year we could get off the Chunnel and drive direct, as long as you didn’t ‘stop’ in France you were good.
I just filled up at the shell garage, 1 Mile before the eurotunnel entrance. It helped being in the car mind as the fuel tank is bigger

Re: Metzler do the ring
As you know the more laps you buy (in one go) the cheaper the laps get, not by a huge amount but every little helps

Looks like it’s ok to go there if your fully vaccinated but coming back you have to isolate for 10 days and take 2 covid tests!!!!
Still No point going then!!
